Martin Dunn, 35, used a loophole in the popular PayPal payment scheme to scam over £10,000 out of customers who ordered and paid for the latest computer games months in advance of their release date.

Using the "Buy it Now" section of the worldwide online market place website Dunn, a registered nurse at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, began taking orders and payment for the computer games – which he offered for half price at about £20 – in August 2004, which were not due to be released until that November...
