Bisti Badlands New Mexico Canyon Abstract Sepia ACEO Original Art Card

This abstract sepia tone original painting is an overview of the bizarre Bisti Badlands, New Mexico. The Bistis are a strange series of mesas and canyons, with strange sedimentary layers and an almost alien look. I tried to capture their flowing weirdness, at sunset, with the ruddy iron-filled desert earth gleaming as shadows form.
I did this textured, abstract landscape with Russian Yarka Sepia "crayons" (a form of pastel) and black ink on Canson Me-Teintes oyster paper.
This is an original! It will be packed in a sturdy plastic card sleeve for protection.
