Thanks BBH  ;D

Having the 2 columns is much better.  There was way to much blank space before.

Thanks again and have a GREAT weekend!!!!

I forgot about it but I have a site running on shoppingq/qstore.  (Its been a while since I've worked on it/had any sales there :-[ ).
Well I technicaly have two, my main one using cubecart, and I also have a currently non-fucntional one that uses mals-e. I think that if I hadn't discovered cubecart I would have been quite satisfied with mals.

Oh and  Hello everybody.

Angel,

It looks Great!  No "dead space" at all which keeps products always in front of the customers eyes to tempt them!  ^-^
We're pulling the (remaining) plug on our Storesense Pro Plus within the next few days...because basically its crap Wink --some nice features but severely lacking in others...and this is the exact same version that eBay is charging ProStores users $249 monthly for...I'd hate to experience the $29 offering.  Big Grin

We  considered using Make-A-Store or Volusion..and also X-Cart...glanced at Monster Commerce and Yahoo Stores (but never really considered either of them for various reasons)...never considered 3DCart, CubeCart, Mals, Agora, etc due to their lack of features compared to others....the code in osCommerce has been a mess since it was known as the Exchange Project and has never been cleaned up so as usual we spit on osCommerce... but we did decide on something else....  Coolsmiley
Hi Vital  Hello  Welcome back.  Thanks, I really like it much better now.

Are you gonna keep us in suspense?  Spill BBH  Wink

We use oscommerce (recommended) as our main retail website, and Bizhosting.com as our secondary retail website (not recommended).

Actually--my parents  :o are considering their first retail websites. Does anyone here have any feedback on any of the super-easy click-and-build cart systems? The kind which can be used without any HTML experience?

Avoid ProStores or StoreSense  Smileytongueout

We just spent a lot of time last month looking at all of them...but ultimately decided to go with osCommerce offshoot Zen Cart  (code is a lot cleaner than OSC.  I've always hated OSC, but the code in Zen is heavily rewritten and much nicer) we're in the middle of doing very heavy modifications to it...and after we finish it will have more features than the overpriced Storesense Pro Plus it is replacing  :Smile

Anyways, the hosted carts:

We loved the features in both Make-A-Store and Volusion but not the price.  With the number of items we have/features we needed, the monthly fees would have been $200-$275 plus setup fees of $199-$300).

Volusion would be good for your parents if they have less than 1000 items though: monthly fees of $64-$94 plus setup of $99 ($199 after 9/1)

MonsterCommerce was also very nice, but not quite what we wanted.  It might me good for your parents though.  $99 monthly plus $99 setup

3D Cart- Angel likes it so it must be good. Smile On the downside they have some weird customers in North Carolina who sell brainteaser puzzles.  Dazed012

Easy Store Creator- a ton of features, no setup fee, and monthly plans from $9-$59.

Thanks, BBH! I'll pass along the info.

Zen, hmmm? Sounds interesting. Oscommerce can certainly be hell, that's for sure. I'd be curious to peek at Zen one of these days.
Hi Thentavius  Wave

I do like 3D Cart alot.  Its easy to use and pretty much idiot proof (which is what I really needed) lol.  It is a little pricey but ebay costs me more so it really depends on where you want to put your money.

They have great features again which are easy.  Mailing list, 1 click home page featured, coupons and other stuff.  Frik-n-Frak explain things better than I can but you get the drift.  If you have any questions about it just let me know.

Hope that helps  Wink
