eBay UK's new Classified Ads Policy:
Quote:Classified Ad listings give sellers a way to list items, services and property for sale to generate multiple leads or potential buyers in specific categories.

For standard Classified Ad listings, contact information is allowed in a listing for both customer support purposes and solicitation of leads.

Note: Contact information is only permitted in other types of eBay listings (auction-format, fixed price, etc.) for customer support purposes.
Quote:The following are examples of listings or listing methods specifically not permitted in Classified Ad listings:

    * Listing multiple ads for an identical item, service, or property. Sellers must list one Classified Ad for the same item, service, or property.
    * Listing multiple items, properties or specific services in one Classified Ad is not permitted, unless the items, services, or properties are being sold as a bundle or lot, or as a multiple quantity listing.
    * Advertising a physical good or tangible item that has already sold or a service that is no longer available. Listings should be removed as soon as the item or service is no longer available.
    *  Misrepresenting the “Advertised Price” of an item, service or property. The Advertised Price of the item, service or property should be consistent with information provided in the item description of the listing. Sellers should accurately represent the price of the item for sale.
    *  Using premium or value-adding phone numbers as contact information is not permitted. Although sellers are permitted to include contact information within a Classified Ad, using a phone number that charges callers a fee to be paid to the seller for dialling is not permitted.
    *  Classified Ad listings must comply with all existing eBay Marketplace policies including eBay's Listing Practices policies (including but not limited to Accepted Payments, Keyword Spam, Miscategorisation, No Item, and Links policies) Prohibited and Restricted Items Policy, and rules pertaining to Intellectual Property (How eBay Protects Intellectual Property (VeRO)).

Quote:We wanted to let you know about our new Classified Ads policy.

Classified Ad listings give eBay sellers a way to list items and services to generate multiple leads or potential buyers.

While the Classified Ad listing format does not enable buyers and sellers to complete transactions through eBay, our listing policies still apply in order to maintain our members’ trust and the legitimacy of the eBay marketplace.

We have published a Classified Ad policy to help clarify listings and listing methods that are not permitted in Classified Ads. The policy includes examples of listings to enable our members to use the Classified Ad format effectively.
