I have a question. One of the sad stories in the movie Sicko was a woman who's very ill husband was denied coverage for a bone marrow transplant. He died shortly thereafter.

In a system like you have in England are there some procedures that are just not done in the interest of making broad basic care available for the masses? Kim
The woman's husband would have received treatment. All necessary treatments are done here.  The major problems in the UK are delays in receiving hospital appointments and scheduling operations. The waiting time to receive an appointment for a nonessential operation can be 3 or 4 months in some cities.
