Well isn’t that SPECIAL???

I'm surprised they haven’t done like most others companies and just contract the work out to call centers in India.
Or (like lieworld for example) hire folks to operate out of their closets at home.

The "better" PayPal jobs are still in the US, but...

...rumor(maybe true, maybe not) has it PayPal email support was outsourced to India in 2001.

Backing up that rumor...This site is a resource center for the Indian outsourcing industry that is run by a group of lawyers and accountants. It has a list of Indian call centers that provide outsourced support to US companies and provdes the names of US companies using them.  Scroll down the list to Daksh eServices (its an IBM subsidiary)

Daksh provides: Email Support, Chat Support, Inbound / Outbound voice, Knowledge Management, Collection Services to its clients.

Yep I'm sure they are outsourcing like every other BIG company.

My question has always been with all the BIG companies.

If you lowered your overhead why are the prices of your product still high and going higher???
