StarOffice is free with Google Pack but $70 if you download it from Sun. 

Does anyone use StarOffice? How does it compare to Microsoft Ofc? Is it worthwhile to move  from M. Ofc to Star Ofc?

These and other relevant questions beg to be answered.............

OpenOffice.org (also free) is based on StarOffice.

I have office 2003, and was considering an upgrade, but...........I am tired of supporting Microsoft's shoddy ethics, and poorly designed software.

I just uninstalled most of office, and installed Star Ofc 8 (through Google Pak). So far, it seems to be comparable to Office and it definitely is less glitchy!!

PS//Google allows you to choose and download only what you wish to from it's pak/offerings.
