Quote: Order Fulfillment Report Changes

Starting the week of October 29, 2007, we are eliminating redundant data from the Order Fulfillment Report.

We will no longer provide data in the following columns of the order fulfillment reports:

    * payments-transaction-id
    * payment-status
    * special-comments

Note that the data reported in the ‘payments-transaction-id’ field is available in the 'order-item-id' field.

We are leaving the columns (including the column headers) in place as some report parsers may depend on the exact number and order of columns in the report, however there will be no data in these columns going forward.

As a best practice, report parsers should not rely on the exact number or order of columns in reports, as these may change. Instead, they should rely on the column names.

...but the data in the payment-status and special-comments columns isn't available in another field.

Amazon's paranoia about sellers converting Amazon buyers into website customers is showing with its removal of information from the Sold Ship Now emails and Order Fulfillment reports (especially since Amazon issued a reminder about its prohibition against "promotional materials" on the same day it announced the order fulfillment changes).
