eBay Store Display Widgets
A big thing for sellers is being able to display their eBay listings in places other than eBay itself. Web-ready widgets enable you to customize a display that can act as a visually pleasing storefront to your eBay listings. These Web-enabled widgets make adding your eBay items to Web pages, blogs and social networks such as Facebook a simple task.
It is as easy as changing a few pre-defined options, copying the code and pasting the snippet where you want to display the Web store widget online. Wipbox charges a small fee to help you put together a really slick looking listing, and figure out some of the subtle aspects of getting an item to sell quickly based on what category and service it's listed in. If you've ever wanted to sell something on either of the two classifieds services, but have been unsure about a good starting price, or the best way to convey the product information, Wipbox does the heavy lifting for you.
The get started quickly, you can do a search for your item. It's not free at $.25 a pop, but it gives you the starting and closing costs for your item in various categories (for eBay) or locales (for Craigslist). For example, if you're here in San Francisco, your item might fetch more money in surrounding neighborhoods. Max Mancini: If we look at the evolution of innovation on eBay, it started with innovating around consumer-to-consumer commerce and the auction format online. Then over the last 5 or 6 years, eBay has had to innovate around technology just to keep up from scale and growth perspectives. So it has been focused on scalability, performance, and also search. In that sense, many of our investments and efforts around innovation have been focused on building up the platform. Now, as the company has gotten up to about 12,000 employees, what we need to do is make sure that we continue to innovate around new business and feature ideas. We have teams for each of the major eBay areas like our Buyer team, Seller team, and eBay Express team. Each team works on its own innovations, which are focused on keeping up with the customer demands and, as the market evolves, on what comes next. That's part of their normal product road maps.
But my team is looking 12 to 18 months out to identify trends that we think are relevant to our business...

Quote:cMarket's services help non-profit organizations add an online component to their fund-raising efforts. Its platform consists of a hosted auction toolset that enables non-profit customers to easily create, manage and market their own branded auctions. It also offers cMarket Place, which lets non-profits stock their auction catalogs with unique items that sell, available at a low wholesale cost. (The non-profit keeps all profits from bids above the opening bid.) Another feature is its International Bidder Registration, which facilitates bidding in foreign currencies.

cMarket's new analytics feature, SmarterAuction, offers the enhanced ability to track and improve an online auction. A real-time auction meter appears on the SmarterAuction dashboard and calculates the chances of reaching a fundraising goal based on the auction's logistics and lifecycle thereby allowing the non-profit to make any necessary course corrections in time to make their goal. SmarterAuction then allows clients to track each element of their auction against goals, optimize variables that would increase revenue, and review multiple scenarios proven to yield higher results...

Rather than ads appearing on the eBay site, however, adMarketplace ads now appear on partner sites like Ask.com. Sellers choose keywords and how much they are willing to pay for ad clicks (just like the Google AdWords or Yahoo Search Marketing programs). Sellers are not able to select the websites on which their ads will appear. Rather, the adMarketplace program does "real-time optimization."...
