Questions:
1. is Rich out of the picture and Recordlady the new owner?
2. what happened to the 5400 member database: was it destroyed or is it still floating around --and who has it if it still exists: RecordLady Liz or Rich?

I'm assuming HiBidder's new owner won the lottery arcasm1: because a few fraudulent high dollar transactions could put HB on the hook to sellers for several thousand dollars.  If they can't afford to do even minimal paid advertising like Adwords how do they think they're going to be able to meet their Quikpay payment guarantee obligations?

Requiring phone verification before a buyer can buy a $4 item that is available on dozens of other sites is in itself a very effective fraud prevention method: no buyers=no fraud risk. :

Lloyd's of London is the underwriter for eBay's buyer protection program.  Who is underwriting HiBidder's seller protection plan? Clearwater-Costa Rica Insurance LLC?  :twistedevil:  The amount they collect in "small one-time fees" from program participants won't be enough cover their potential liability if they don't have an insurer backing the program.

Certain pests need to be destroyed, otherwise, they will spread waste and disease.

If the loser site owners would just get real jobs and stop infesting the internet with their diseased sites, the world would be a much better place. Better yet, maybe they should learn what is really needed in order for their sites to succeed. Instead, they slap together some site and expect to rake in the big bucks. It's just plain laziness and stupidity, and they deserve to fail.

HiBidder had less than 5K visitors for the entire month of December 2010. Twern't mucha' nothin' before and it's pathetically less now. The new front person co-owner has a tough row to hoe between that site's history and her limited marketing skills.
