This useless article fails to mention that the majority of the "hundreds of thousands" of sites that display AdSense ads never receive any of their earnings because Google has a $100 minimum payout - it could take a small very low traffic site years to earn that $100.  (On the flip side, we do receive a monthly payout from AdSense -if you have the traffic signing up for AdSense is a good way to generate revenues)
