1. Leave the layout stock...
2. Don’t add a thumbnail contribution...
3. Don’t optimize your images in Photoshop...
4. Don’t smooth out the checkout process...
5. Ignore the market you are going to sell in...
6. Don’t add an SSL certificate...
7. Don’t add Terms of Use, Privacy, or Conditions of Sale statements...

Its really starting to surprise me how many links that article is getting.  I wrote it in anger, and I submitted it to the big webdev sites as a joke. I never knew it would generate this much attention.  Thanks for the link, I hope you liked the article.

Its a good article.  I think it hits on all of the most common mistakes people make who then wonder why they aren't getting any sales from their new web store.  Smile

"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site.
best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011

That describes 90% of the oscommerce sites I've seen.  All installed with Fantastico I'm sure. ;D
