NJ .Court Rules Authorities Need Grand Jury Warrant to Obtain User IP Addresses
Quote:The New Jersey Supreme Court has ruled that people have an expectation to privacy online and that the authorities can't just demand citizens' IP addresses from their Internet service providers without a grand jury warrant. The ruling was handed down in the case of a woman who was charged with hacking into her employer's computer system.
