Privacy be damned. View the IP address of every AuctionQuests member and visitor because the owner is too boinking stupid to password protect their stats program and block search engines from indexing it. View detailed information on every users' browser and operating system too. http://auctionquests.com/bbclone/show_de...php?lng=en Rinky Dink Boinktards Bidhopper too! http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&c2coff=1&safe=off&q=bidhopper+and+bbclone&btnG=Search http://www.bidhopper.com/bbclone/ AlsoShop too! http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&c2coff=1&safe=off&q=alsoshop+and+bbclone&btnG=Search http://74.125.45.104/search?q=cache:9qZ1...nd+bbclone&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us

Re: AuctionQuests Invites Google Searchers to View the IP Addresses of Its Users
Something else that the high AOL visits show is that the site may very well be using the AOL proxies to boost the traffic numbers.
Pretty scary that a hacker can get SO MUCH INFO about the visitors of a site, on the forum junkie site admins and owners don't even see it here yet. Other interesting points... Alsoshop gets almost as many hits from Really Smart Deals traffic exchange as it does from Google. AQ, with all the SEO perfection Ray did on it when it was his, gets more traffic from RSD than Live and Yahoo. ;D And in case anyone was wondering, I get the same exact stats from Godaddy for all my domains, and it is password protected and free. Just more reasons to stay far, far away from "alternatives" to eBay.

Quote:Pretty scary that a hacker can get SO MUCH INFO about the visitors of a site A hacker or competitors. If you're running a business the information in your log files is one of your most valuable assets/tools and you don't want to give your competitors open access to it (which is one reason I would never "Quantify" my stores). Quote:Alsoshop gets almost as many hits from Really Smart Deals traffic exchange as it does from Google. Really Smart Deals and a dozen other traffic exchanges. If you want the world to know you're a completely clueless amateur when it comes to site promotion, join a bunch of traffic exchanges like Mo and the Poppers have done. : Code: Top 30 Origins
