If OAI sellers looked at the overall ecommerce picture and put the rinky dink sites in perspective we wouldn't have had anything to laugh talk about during the past 4 years.
Magento has been downloaded over 1 million times, there are over 216,000 osCommerce stores, and only 20,000 sellers wasting their time at PSU/Pheebay/etc. being spammed by small auction site owners. I think the average online seller has looked at the overall ecommerce picture. |

BBH, I'm surprised you didn't mention that Mike should STFU and stay off the boards.

Re: Atomic Mall's Owner Preaches the Seller to Seller Sales Doctrine
Quote:For some perspective, there are over 770,000 individual eBay sellers who have larger customer lists than AlsoShop's member list. Atomic Mall sellers who are looking for a new home would do better asking one of those 770,000 sellers to sell their items on consignment than they would importing their listings from Atomic Mall to AlsoShop. Even more perspective for other "eBay alternatives" Plunderhere has taken 5 years and many different owners, scripts, and programmers to reach half that many customers buying lightly soiled children's clothing, 50 cent books, nazi memorabilia, and counterfeits from Asia. In that same time, Overstock Auctions has gathered 23 million customers. But don't mention that at PSU's OAuctions forum, where you cannot find a positive statement about the site since 2006. http://www.powersellersunite.com/forum-19.html On the other hand, Atomic Mall has nothing but happy fluffy fuzzy comments from it's sellers to the 20,000 customer base. I'll be over at the site with 23 million customers where sellers leave for PSU to whine if you need me.

Re: Atomic Mall's Owner Preaches the Seller to Seller Sales Doctrine
Mo and Ray doing the exact same thing on OLA threads they accuse AM Mike of doing:
http://www.powersellersunite.com/viewtop...490#266490 Entering into another site's threads with big flashy banners, asking questions and offering criticisms of OLA. They did it with Bonanzle: http://www.powersellersunite.com/viewtopic.php?p=267966&highlight=#267966 and with AM, as well laid out by Mike: http://www.powersellersunite.com/viewtop...616#269577 Like these sites or hate them, Mo and Ray are total hypocrites for claiming they are "spamming" all while bashing all "trolls" who prove they spam more outrageously and shamelessly than all other rinky dinks combined. Grow up, really. Yet rinky dink owners still flock to him for mods and to her for advice. They are getting secondhand scripts from him, advice from an admin who never sold anything more than $5, and can't figure out why their businesses never take off. No one said they were all smart enough to run auction sites that don't look like 99% of all the other auction sites. Still waiting for a response on PSU to my suggestion to remove all banner signatures

Re: Atomic Mall's Owner Preaches the Seller to Seller Sales Doctrine
So, I was going to make some smartaz comment on how her work has paid off, because now she has a couple more than 2 sales a month, but I only see 2 for July as well. I'd laugh, but that's just sad.
All of that time wasted on AM when she could be out networking and making money for her own store. Mike should take pity and buy something from her. So, Mike hasn't even paid to get those ads off of his forum. Talk about sad. $7 a month, and he can't afford that....LOL :turkey1: I should let Alison know about that. I'm sure she'd be happy to donate the $7 to get the ads off....LOL |

Atomic Mall Wrote:I think I'll run it by Mike and see what he thinks. He would at least know if it's legal.http://www.powersellersunite.com/post-27...tml#270827 Are you sure he'd know if it's legal? His track record suggests he is either clueless about what's legal, or he is cut from the iOffer/Plunderhere/LoudFrog/AuctionFire mold of condoning illegal items on his site. When Mike is alerted to illegal pirated DVDs on his site he changes the listing number of the infringing items a TT member has pointed out but allows the illegal item and the copyright thief seller to remain on his site. When Mike is alerted that a hacked auction site containing numerous illegal child porn and illegal warez pages/links is being sold on his site he changes the listing number of the illegal item a TT member has pointed out but allows both the item and seller to remain on his site. The only thing that Mike seems to find objectionable (i.e. "illegal" in his AM fiefdom) and worthy of a seller being banned is a seller who dares to disagree with Mike. Asking a simple business question that questions an Atomic Mall policy might get you banned from Atomic Mall but selling an illegal item won't.
