Re: Inhabid Vaporware
Talk about annoying and convoluted. This just seems like it was created to fail...ugh So now it's drawings for tickets to win pieces of land? No, my bad. So everyone will be buying up land right away even though we have no idea of how much land is out there to buy. All we know is that it is "limited" but that we aren't limited as to how much of it we can buy...what?

So each region will have 3.57 percent as there are 7 regions. Now, that could easily go down to percent of pennies depending on how much land they depend on selling. It seems kind of like a share-holder idea, so hope they have read up on all of the legalities that go with this. Their books will also need to be public as anyone of those land owners would have legal right to request full disclosure of the books. I mean who is thinking this sht up?

So if we sell something, they are actually paying us in tokins? You're kidding right? I thought we got tokins when we participated in the site, but that we would still get the money for what we sold minus the 2% FVF. I better be wrong, because no one is going to sell stuff on there for some prizes or imaginary pieces of land.

Quote:My initial issue with Inhabids was the game aspect, accumulating "tokins" to exchange for things. I'm selling stuff. I don't want tokins. I want money.

The game aspect is being expanded for Inhabid V2: a weekly lottery drawing for rewards, virtual property ownership.

[/quote]

Inhabid V2 will have 2 more changes:
1. Tokins: V1 tokins had a cash value of $0.07 and could be redeemed for cash; V2 tokins will have no cash value and can only be redeemed for lottery tickets, physical rewards, or Inhabuta property
2. FVF fees: V1 2%; V2 2.5%-5.5%

Quote: For one, land is limited. Once they are all owned, there is no more. Two, owning a piece of land is owning a .2% of Inhabid.com stock. This is not virtual stock, but real stock.

Is it common or preferred "real stock"? :twistedevil: Will the link to the shareholder agreement be unveiled on September 1st? :twistedevil:

Re: Inhabid Vaporware
Well, now I am just confused. They are sharing 25%, which would mean each section gets 3.57 percent, but if each piece of land is worth .2 percent, then there are only 18 pieces of land in each section to be sold?

Is it just me?

I'm thinking sellers still get paid, it's just that now, they won't get any free money from the tokins. Either way, offering stock is never a good idea.

Inhabid.com takes precautions to protect your financial information. In addition to our entore site being protected by SSL

A. Ummm, the site has a Comodo SSL certificate but the framed registration page is http:// not https://  . The login link on the bottom menu also leads to a non-SSL page.  :Smile

B. Is "entore" another cutesy word like "tokins"? :twistedevil:

"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"

"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site.
best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011

LOL...I am a winner! Pretty bad when he's extended it so damn much, one can pinpoint the next date. Maybe he should just change it to "Next Week" then he wouldn't have to keep changing the date....lmao

Not that anyone really gives a rip when they do launch it.

Based on a 2009 Pew Internet research report, virtual worlds have almost no appeal with anyone over 17.

Percentage of Internet users in age group that visits virtual worlds:
12-17 yr olds: 10%
18-32 yr olds: 2%
33-44 yr olds: 3%
45-54 yr olds: 1%
55-63 yr olds: 1%
64-72 yr olds: 1%
73+: 0%

full report .pdf can be downloaded here:
http://www.pewinternet.org/Reports/2009/...ities.aspx

edited to add: 71% of adult Internet users buy online but only 26% participate in online auctions
