PayPal Buyer Protection Policy Only 3 items in a multi-item purchase are covered
This is from an eBay boards discussion about a buyer who was wrongly told by PayPal that they won't be able to receive a refund because the seller doesn't have sufficient funds in their account. According to the Buyer Protection section of PayPal's user agreement the buyer should receive a refund of any amount under $1000 regardless of whether the seller has funds in their account. Only the portion of the sale that was above $1000 is dependent on the seller having funds in their account.
If the claim is granted, PayPal will reimburse you up to the maximum amount specified above, and will use reasonable efforts to collect from the seller any additional amount you paid above the maximum." ====================== Anyways the real purpose of this post. I had never noticed the bolded part of this section of the BPP before: Buyers are limited to receiving no more than three PayPal Buyer Protection claim payouts per calendar year. Each listing in a multiple-item payment is considered a separate claim award. So if you buy 5 items from a buyer and pay in one payment and the seller rips you off you can only file a claim on 3 of the items... nice...NOT
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site. best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011 |
