Just an Observation:

Just checked and there are now 6,938 stores on ebay, of course some people open stores just for the xmas selling season, but is it any wonder sales are slow.  And I feel another big price increase is just around the corner.

I'd be shocked if eBay didn't raise fees in January.  I think they'll start charging different rates for the 1-3-5-7 day listing durations, and probably add a volume discount feature (like Overstock) to appease PeSA.

Same here, I come to expect the annual (or twice) increase by eBay just like I always know we get the annual Christmas gift from Canada Post every January of an increase there too.  That's one of those things that you just know is going to happen sooner or later or and more likely sooner than later.
