MarketWorks Receives $7 Million Investment...
...and they obviously used the money to build their booth at eBay Live rather than using it to fix the problems on their site and provide their customers with the service that they advertise.

Part of a rant I emailed to MW today...yes, 1 1/2 months of constant problems launching to Yahoo (and many days/weeks of being unable to launch to Yahoo at all) will cause a person to rant and jump up and down  Blob8 ...Marketworks is obviously run by a bunch of motherboinking  boinktard hershey's kisss.

Quote:The problems with Yahoo launches are still happening.  Nothing has launched to Yahoo since Saturday.  The problem is on MarketWorks end since I have absolutely no problem launching from the Yahoo site.

The fact that I have not even received a response to my support request is unexcusable.  The fact that Marketworks has been having constant problems launching to Yahoo since late May is unexcusable since other service providers are not having these same problems.  The fact that Marketworks doesn't even think it is important enough to  make announcements to its customers regarding Yahoo launch problems is totally unexcusable.  The fact that Marketworks advertises that it supports Yahoo listing and auction management and yet does not in fact provide the support it claims to is completely unexcusable, and at this point I see no alternative but to file a BBB complaint because I am not being provided with the service that is advertised, and these constant problems are costing my company money.  .

EDITED TO ADD: I see you've been playing with the word filter on here Mandy.  ;D

Re: MarketWorks Receives $7 Million Investment...
MarketWorks new President/CEO personally answered our email yesterday  Wink (probably because we A.  cc'd auctionbytes on it and B. forwarded all of our unanswered customer service emails to him) with a lengthy detailed explanation of all of our complaints: the short version "we're working on improving the service, it will get better" ..and of course on the subject of Yahoo, the usual MW answer I've heard for the past 2 years "Its Yahoo's fault"...and of course an explanation that it is also Yahoo's fault that MW doesn't use Yahoo's API.

The service has seem improved this week...but the MW storefronts are crawling when they load...realllly crawling...and every listing to Yahoo spits out an error message email (but things are actually listing there from MW which is an improvement).

Launches and Finalizations backed up
Last night's site maintenance lasted longer than we expected (until 6am EST), which has caused launches and finalizations to be backed up for several hours.
We know some sellers do not want auctions to launch unless it is at a particular time, so you can go in to the Monitor page to check for pending auctions and cancel them. To do this, go to the Monitor page and change the status to "ALL PENDING".

***MAINTENANCE WINDOW FOLLOW UP***
For users based outside the United States, the recent extended maintenance window may have impacted your ability to conduct business. Our apologies that this window was extended at short notice, and went beyond the estimated time. The work being performed should enhance speed of response on the Monitor page, as well as other areas of the site, and has increased overall capacity while ensuring that any data that may present issues in the future is removed from active use. There are background processes continuing this work, and these processes will affect site speed in certain areas as they progress. SUGGESTIONS
1) Limit searches on Monitor page as much as possible
2) If possible, move tasks related to Monitor to later in the day
3) Set Inventory per page view to anything greater than 25
Again, our apologies, and our trust that users will appreciate the enhanced performance once these changes are complete.
