The Reason For AuctionCities Fee Hike...
...they really do want to drive off small sellers and hope the huge fee hike will do the trick.  Smile  Sad

The company is apparently shifting its focus to becoming a dumping ground for high volume sellers  :Smile :twistedevil:

Quote:management is now moving to establish strategic alliances with volume providers of big ticket items that will act as a commercial draw to increase the overall product exchange on AuctionCities.com

cars are first:

Quote:"New and previously-owned automobiles and that aftermarket industry, represent a tremendous source of potential revenue for the company,

followed by real estate and consumer electronics  :Smile

Quote:AuctionCities.com is currently planning similar ventures in the real estate and consumer electronics fields

Quote:"In keeping with our Micro-auctioning identity, we will be sorting the inventory of national companies and listing by the location of that product in major U.S. cities, currently available to the public in 157 markets, through our patent-pending feature Shop Your Zip-code."

"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"

"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site.
