My favorite line in the release is the first sentence:

AuctionCities.com, Inc., new in the auction industry, announced, today...

They should really patent the idea of  being able to wipe out your past history by changing your name.  Think of the licensing possibilities: debtors would gladly pay to use this invention to get creditors off their back without the need for filing for bankruptcy, likewise criminals, Tammy Faye Baker's makeup artist, and Michael Jackson's plastic surgeon would also gladly pay the licensing fee to wipe out the public's memories of their past errors.  :twistedevil:

Yet another press release, this one from 8/30, further confirming the company's change in focus from a primarily  person to person marketplace to a B2B and B2C marketplace.

...this one from 9/7.  Issuing press releases seems to be a weekly thing with them now. 

While I don't like the way AuctionCities/BidWay/AuctionDiner/BidBay's recent huge fee increase has completely screwed the small smallers who had kept it afloat since BidBay's little legal battle with eBay, I do think the new management's shift in forcus from C-2-C auctions to B-2-B and B-2-C auctions is a good move for the company.

AuctionCities.com, Inc...today announced the first "flight" of TV commercials as a launch of an aggressive 2005-2006 advertising campaign on TV, Radio, Newspaper, Trade Publications and targeted Cable channels.

Beginning Monday, October 17th, the AuctionCities.com TV commercial will be seen Monday to Thursday on "CNN Cable Headline News"; from 6AM to 5PM and again from 12 Midnight to 2AM through the first week of November in all five Los Angeles Counties and New York City and surrounding Burroughs.

In addition, a broadcast test-flight will air on Warner Bros. Television... KTLA-TV: Channel 5 in Los Angeles from Monday thru Thursday from 5AM to 6AM on "KTLA EARLY MORNING" and from 6AM to 7AM on the "KTLA MORNING NEWS." The KTLA-TV signal is received in all 5 Los Angeles-area counties... Los Angeles and Orange Counties and from Ventura County to San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.
