Disappointing Canada Town Square Discussion with eBay Manager
On the ebay.ca Canada Town Square forum they just held the past hour a ' Discussion with eBay Canada Country Manager' question and answer period. I could understand if the board was hopping with tons of postings and questions that the eBay Manager would have had a hard time keeping up but there were only 44 posts in that thread by the time he left and 15 of those were from him.
My beef is in a one hour period he answered only 13 questions? (the other posts were saying hi and bye) That's terrible, that is 1 question answered every 5 minutes - it even took 5 minutes just to say something like, we'll get back to you on that. Obviously eBay member's questions and concerns aren't very important to eBay (but then we already knew that). If the guy can't type fast or even read fast then why didn't they have someone else there to help him out? How pathetic. But then why am I surprised. Oh well, another day on eBay. http://forums.ebay.ca/thread.jspa?threadID=500001767&start=0 |

Re: Disappointing Canada Town Square Discussion with eBay Manager
Reading the meeting helped me with one question I had about the safe payment policy

The rest of it was standard eBay meeting non-answers [/quote] Yup, or they ignored questions. One poster asked 2 questions in one post and the Manager answered only one question but not the other and didn't even say he'd look into it. So the poster started another thread saying it must be their deoderant or lack of it to be ignored. |

Re: Disappointing Canada Town Square Discussion with eBay Manager
These meetings allow eBay to show users that they do care, and they do interact with the community. :
I don't think they quite realize that rather than forming a bond with sellers they are instead alienating sellers by holding these meetings and giving BS answers (or ignoring questions) and then disappearing until the next monthly meeting. Quote:Moneybookers is still an acceptable form of payment Do the customer service people know this? Since its not specifically mentioned as an acceptable form of payment in the policy, I'm betting there will be a lot of listings pulled in error by CS people who aren't aware it is "ebay legal".
"Well, Jay was so giddy that someone named Jay was involved with this site we posted our first non-eBay listing in 3 years here at Lunarbid (we tried two items at Yahoo once upon a time, they bombed)" -Marie posting in a LunarBid thread at OTWA in 2005 wins the award for 'most moronic reason ever given for choosing a venue"
"thanks twat u must have nothing better 2 do. do u talk to all your members like that. will not be recomending your site. best way to put it is TULIPTOOLS.COM IS REALLY SHIT. DONT JOIN." -pubescent owner of rinky dink off2auction.com in 2011 |
