;D Is she a Voices member? I know someone that used to be a Voices Member. He was NOT an eBay cheerleader in ANY way, shape, or form when I met him. However, while he was still a Voices Member, he went to a Voices get together and came back like Dorothy and Marty. Many of us were STUNNED. It took a while to deprogram him. He is back to normal now. I'm not saying all Voices Members are brain washed. I do have to wonder how some people with a reasonable amount of intelligence can Rah Rah eBay no matter what shit they pull? Believe it or not, I am one that OFTEN looks for the bright side in different situations. However, I can only be dealt so much shit before I stop doing so when it comes to eBay. |

Asking pinks questions again :twistedevil:

Matt, you're leaving out part of the story. The great "gift" of opening item pages to search engines that eBay says it is giving sellers is also something that eBay intentionally took away from sellers 6 years ago when it banned outside search engines from the site. What were the reasons for originally taking this traffic away from sellers? In case you weren't here when eBay originally took search engine traffic away from sellers, you can reference this article from February 4th, 2000: DOJ looks at fair competition in eBay dispute The Justice Department has queried eBay about the companys efforts to block third-party auction search engines from accessing items listed for sale on eBay, a company spokesman said today. full article: http://news.com.com/2100-1017-236514.html
BBH,
I can't stop laughing over this comment of yours... "I haven't had my first glass of Kool-Aid yet this morning, but I'm sure as soon as I do I'll probably would see this "enhancement" through eBay-tinted glasses and believe that a link that leads buyers off of my listing to a listing of similar items by my competitors is a good thing for my business. " You are tooooooooooooooooooooo funnnnnnnnnnnnnny!! |

Re: eBay to Add Links to Your Competitor's Similar Items to Some Item Pages
I know a lot of us have become so negative about so much.
But I can honestly say. If I saw anything they did that was a good thing I would be one to say so as well. With that said when you see so many useless things and so many giving good reasons why they are useless. It usually isn't too hard to figure out who is nipping at the old jug a bit.
