That name isn't as funny as my favorite Stores board quote which was posted in one of the threads !skcus_yabe posted in (and which is posted several times daily in various threads):

That quote always cracks me up because 9 times out of 10 if you ask the person saying it why they only sell on eBay they'll say "eBay has the eyeballs, where else could you put your items in front of 180 million people" (yes, I have a sick sense of humor...today).

A few weeks back, I put Best Offer on my store listings.    I figured I'd try.  I hate the concept but I figured I could live with it if it brought the $$ rolling in.  And it was just a click of the button in Auction Sage.  So, it went on everything.

So it wound up even on my penny books.  (They've been getting 30 days in the eBay store before retiring to AZ and Alibris where they sit for free until donated. )

Anyway, I never dreamed someone would make me an offer on a penny book but someone just did. 

What . . . would they want to pay more?

Uh, no.   

They want me to give them the book and cut 50 cents off my shipping. 

I won't be playing this game anymore.

My old userID on eBay was my email address - an old hotmail address.
I'd just completed my first ironman triathlon around the time that the edict came down that it was no longer *safe* for us to use our email addresses as our userIDs.
