eBay Raises UK, Ireland Fees Effective September 29
Quote:29 August, 2005 | 09:00AM BST

eBay has become a thriving global marketplace as a result of the passion, innovation and hard work of our Community. Our responsibility is to keep pace with the Community's changing needs, while preserving the things that make eBay a great place for buyers and sellers to trade.

Today, we are announcing that eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie will be making changes to the fee structure effective September 29, 2005.

The vast majority of Listing Fees and Final Value Fees will remain unchanged, some will increase, some will decrease and others will be removed altogether.

To find out the full details of the fee changes on eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie, click here

We understand that fees directly impact our members, and we take great care to ensure that decisions to change fees are made only after thoughtful consideration of this impact. These changes enable us to focus on increasing the value of the marketplace by investing in our technology to innovate better features, marketing to bring more buyers and sellers together, customer support to enhance our communications with our members, and trust and safety initiatives to provide a safe eBay experience.

eBay UK to Fix Billing Errors Caused By eBay's Inept Programming Department

Quote:***Updated: Clarification of Fees for Multiple Item Listings on eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie***

05 December, 2005 | 06:15PM GMT

As we previously announced (29th August and 29th September 2005) the maximum Insertion Fee for Multiple Auction Style Item (Dutch) and Fixed Price listings is £3 (€4.50 on eBay.ie), increased from £2 (€3 on eBay.ie). You can view the announcements here.

This increase came in to effect on 29th September but due to some technical issues, sellers may not have been charged the new fee from that date.

To avoid confusion, we would like to remind you that the correct maximum fee for Multiple Auction Style Item (Dutch) and Fixed Price listings is £3 (€4.50) rather than £2 (€3) and from this week we will be implementing a fix that will ensure that the correct fee is charged to sellers.

You can view the full eBay.co.uk Fees Schedule here.

You can view the full eBay.ie Fees Schedule here.

Regards,
The eBay Team
