Circle Flies
A State Trooper stopped an old cowboy for speeding. He lectured
the cowboy and was trying to impress him, but after a while as he started writing the ticket, he was bothered by a bunch of flies that were buzzing around his head. The cowboy says, "You all having trouble with those circle flies?" "Well, yeah --- if that's what they're called. But I never heard of 'circle' flies." "Flies like that usually hang around the corral and they fly in circles around the back end of a horse." "Oh," says the Trooper, and he goes back to writing the ticket. Then he says, " Are you trying to call me a horse's ass?" "No, sir," says the cowboy. "I got too much respect for that." "That's good," says the Trooper. "Hard to fool those flies, though." |
