Re: H&R Block Screws Up Its Own Tax return
I'm not surprised either.  I lost faith in them many years back when I moved from Ontario to British Columbia and they accepted my moving expenses (even though I moved here without a job already in line) and they refused to accept my roommate's moving expenses the same year when she moved from Albert to British Columbia (and she didn't have a job lined up either).

Here we were, two different, same exact situation, one was accepted for the moving expenses and the other wasn't and the only difference was we had different clerks at the H&R block preparing our taxes.

I now do my own taxes with my own brain by hand without any software (since mine is simple) because I know that if I make a mistake, they'll let me know and so far no mistakes except one year where I was wrong in that they owed me more than I thought and they gave it to me.

I also stopped going to H&R block when I saw they were charging a fee per separate form they had to fill out and especially since many of those forms were their own in-house forms and not the government forms - ripoff artists!
