Hey, that's pretty darn good for the Competition Bureau. I didn't think they actually DID anything at all.
They have still time and time again failed to find any evidence of collusion and price fixing among the oil companies, when the price of gas in Canada never fails to rise 10 cents a litre overnight at every single gas station, in time for the weekend, holiday, whatever (ie. that's like 40 cents a gallon), despite the actual price of crude DROPPING at the same time. That brings the excuse from the oil companies that the crude price doesn't affect the pump price right away, but when the crude price rises, gas goes through the roof the same day. Yeah, no gouging or price fixing going on up here, nope. C.B. =
