In 2005, over 150 crazy competitors donned a pair of flippers, mask and snorkel whilst attempting to doggy paddle the 60ft bog.

This week brought further proof that this country's national sport is no longer football, rugby, or cricket, but scouring eBay. The internet auction site's boast is that you can buy anything to do with sport on it, from World Cup tickets to the very water used to wash Reading's shirts in the 1995 play-off final. And, as of yesterday, this also includes the rights to sponsor the World Bog Snorkelling Championships.
