Re: Eyeballs, eyeballs, eyeballs...
It's all about the BREAK Downs BBH.
Something we will never see from ebay. You know they keep all this data very inaccessible. Wonder why? Like in ebays SEC: We have 180 million accounts. Oh but only 71 million are active. :-( They wont disclose that information in the same segment of the reporting that those are from folks with 20 ID's each. So it's not really 71 million people. LOL We at paypal have 96 million... But oh BTW only 28 million are actually doing any activity now. They wont disclose that information in the same segment of the reporting either. Wonder Why???? OR From the groups: "I'm a BIG ebay seller and have 15 ID's and sell on 8 of them with only one PP account. So you can't say any numbers you put up are correct". (Not you BBH I'm talking about the BS I see on ebay's boards by a "small group" when others present numbers for discussion). Obfuscation, confusion and plain old smoke and mirrors. All coming from momma MEG and her top team for all to NOT see and/or be confused about. That alone IMO is why IMO they need to be investigated and looked at really HARD. Enron x 12 they are... Me thinks. :blinkie:

Quote:Are any of you store owners here getting better Did you mean the new search?? With the store items showing up at the end of the regular search I am getting better sales and traffic. I think it is great. I have bought a lot more things from stores too that I found as a result of the new search. I quit running auctions in November 2005 (just ran a few fixed price listings 2 weeks ago on the promotion--it covered it's cost). Not running auctions is so nice. DISCLAIMER - I am not an eBay cheerleader I am just too lazy to move my stuff when it's selling well doing nothing except stocking and shipping. My margins are good. I did advise my husband who is starting a new web business to follow the advice of those on this board and avoid eBay. He set up on Shoppal and is just starting to promote it now that he has some inventory in there. The ramp up is slower but in the long run it will be a wiser platform. Kim |

Kim,
Being a cheerleader isn't always a bad thing. There are quite a few people from here that sell on eBay. They use what works for them. IMHO :-* |
