Google Finance Launches to Less Than Rave Reviews

So far Google Finance has gotten some less than spectacular reviews from around the net, so I thought I’d give it a whirl.

Just like the USA Baseball team stocked their rotation with 40 year olds, Google Finance offers the same standard tools we are used to seeing in Internet Finance channels : Charts, News and Discussions (via Google Groups) info...

Ouch, in my humble opinion I’d have to say that Google Finance strikes out with a Golden Sombrero with its search engine option.

Google Finance, a bit thin

As Om Malik states in his blog, Google Finance is a bit of a disappointment.  The information it gives investors is only a fraction of what Yahoo Finance provides — but I have to admit, the thin interface is attractive.

Google Finance Disappoints

The much awaited launch of Google Finance service finally happened - in beta of course. And in one word, it is simply disappointing. Its like watching Al Pacino in a stinker like Two for the money.  Tony Montana was so long ago!

But back to Google Finance. After playing around with it for about 15 minutes, it is obvious that it will be a long time, and I mean long time in Internet years that is, before Google Finance really catches up to Yahoo Finance...
