Google Mobile Search has apparently discovered the same thing TulipTools Mobile already knew: people with cell phones are sex crazed perverts. 

Some new research concludes that Google Internet search requests via cell phone are mostly to find porn, and at a rate twice what Google encounters from its regular wired Internet users.

Nearly one in five of Google wireless searches are for words associated with adult entertainment, according to a study of a million Google mobile phone queries...

The porn situation is actually a symptom of a larger issue threatening Google, and presumably any other Internet search engine accessible via a cell phone Internet connection.

As the Google data shows, after nearly a decade in the making, cell phone Internet search is still predominantly to find a finite set of words and topics....

Gee, with posts like that I can't imagine why we rank high on some searches.  Here's our Google ranking report  for people searching on their cell phones.  5 of the top 8 terms people use to find this site when they access it via their cell phones are sex related.

Perfectly understandable that people are searching for sex with their phones..  Particularly if you`ve got a phone plan like mine - dirt cheap but you pay extra for mobile browser, at a rate of $55.00 CDN per megabyte transferred  :o

I mean, paying that kind of bucks is on par with what you`d pay for a hooker, so using the phone to search for sex would be about the only thing worth looking for at those prices  ;D
