Re: ebAys Behavior towards it's Cuctomers
That's another reason I like to chip away at ebay's armor.
So that hopefully larger number of sellers will NOT tolerate that type of behavior from eBay. I think that ebay is trying to change it's behavior. It is just going in the WRONG direction in doing so. I also would like to think that more sellers than we can imagine have reduced their dependency on ebay and more sellers are working hard to convert any buyers they do get into buyers from their websites. One example of many sellers not tolerating ebay's behavior is the low start prices and high S&H to avoid paying more to ebay in fees. IMO It's their way to STICK IT TO THE MAN.

This seems like a good place to put this.
I found someone that eBay likes even less than me. http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?t...2000135577&tstart=0&mod=1146707547733 Make sure to click on the link in her sig and on her outhouse door as well. |

Things like this:
http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?t...2000136367&tstart=0&mod=1146902824900 SHOULD bother eBay. I'd be ashamed if my customers talked about me the way sellers (deservedly) speak of eBay. |

Quote:SHOULD bother eBay. It should, but the only thing eBay's management (and Yahoo, Amazon, and many other dot com era companies) has ever cared about is their stock price and filling the pockets of the executives as quickly as possible...customer satisfaction, long-term planning, etc. have always taken a back seat.

Re: ebAys Behavior towards it's Cuctomers
The whole ride was / is about MILKING us cows.
Well honestly, I don't think all of them saw it that way in the beginning. It was a revolution of sorts that empowered the people. But when the money started pouring in from everywhere to those like Yahoo, Amazon, EBAY and many other dot com era companies. What were they to do? I say the figured: "MILK IT if you can". That was IT and still is. The bottom line. Beware of all of them. They ARE out to keep filling their pockets as BBH says. If you let them, they WILL keep milking. BTW I prefer to call them / us all sheep not cows. But the flocks that seem to not YET "get it" will be milked too. Long live independent small businesses who see this, know this, and don't just lie down and allow this to happen. We ARE the backbone of the economy and the TRUE merchants of the new world. Steps off soapbox now.
