Hey Scoop,
I know absolutely NOTHING about this mineral makeup stuff. I'm fair, with fine lines. Where do I start? |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Good Morning, Everyone!
Congrats, Scoop, on being free! Quote:It took me about a week longer than I had planned. As you and some of the others here probably know already my husband had a heart attack last week. I had to put things on hold for a few days. He is home now and feeling better. He has to go back in on Fri. to have another stent put in. It's great to hear your husband is doing better! I hope everything goes well Friday! I second everything you said to the lurkers here, as I was in the exact same situation. I joined last May, opened the store in July, and was one of WP's biggest supporters. I participated on the board and advertisied everywhere I could until I started to see what sellers who had left had been talking about for myself. The advertising is what finally made me leave, well, lack of advertising. I just could not understand why they couldn't be more open about that. Before the advertising, sure, you need to keep info under wraps. But once it's out there, anyone can see. Why couldn't they say, look for this article here, or this ad there. Way too much secrecy. And given that traffic is going in the opposite direction, I can see why they couldn't reveal anything. There was nothing to reveal. I agree about the build-up to the Grand Opening. It was horrible to the sellers to raise all their hopes for nothing! The traffic predictions and sales predictions, all the talk of making sure your e-mail program can handle all the e-mails, like the floodgates were going to be opened and we weren't going to be able to keep up with sales! That was just unbelievable. I'm so glad I didn't have those kind of expectations since I'd already thought things were wrong for a while. The whole grand opening was just wrong. If you are making sales there and it's working for you, that's wonderful! You should stay and take advantage of it. You're very lucky. Buy I have to agree, back up all your listings and at least look at other venues and do some research so you will be prepared if something happens.

Quote:Congrats Banana Girl! I always call my websites my "babies" - they kind of are like children, lol. Wishing you many more sales! Congrats, Banana! I wish you many more sales! It's great to hear success stories outside of Ebay and WP!

Hey Scoop, I know absolutely NOTHING about this mineral makeup stuff. I'm fair, with fine lines. Where do I start? [/quote] Hi DB I'll pm you with some advise on that. Quote:The advertising is what finally made me leave, well, lack of advertising. I just could not understand why they couldn't be more open about that. They kept saying marketing has begun. The first question that would come to anyones mind is what has begun. But for some reason you could not even ask that. I thought the same thing if it started it would have to be out there somewhere why not say. |

Rat ~ the blog looks GREAT!! See, all that hard work paid off. Time to get some work done. Made it to the Post Office, but other than that I've been ridiculously lazy this morning so far!!!

That was just unbelievable. Ray would have been much better off if he would have been honest and said "we'll be running a few small AdWords campaigns and a few ads on yellow pages sites.". Sellers would have been happy that WP was finally doing some advertising even if it was on a small scale and wouldn't produce an immediate surge in traffic. |
