:popcorneaters:

There is one good thing to say about Ray and waggleflop: it has great entertainment value.  Laughing7

Edited to add: Did I read that thread right???? Some of those poor suckers are planning to give Ray 2 to 3 years of their lives, not to mention their money, without expecting much in return??? Sheer insanity.  :blinkie:

Here's another interesting thread developing: http://www.wagglepop.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=2644
[/quote]

Quote:We are now generating enough revenue to cover the expense of operating Wagglepop as it is currently constructed. Monthly payable operating expenses include hosting of our dedicated servers, server administration, compensation of staff (hourly and contract) employees, rent and utilities, and various other ancillary expenses. Although some employees are working without compensation until the site reaches sustainable and increased profitability, we feel confident that the growth trend will continue, though perhaps not at the explosive levels of the previous three months.

As site profitability and activity increases, we will be able to address the needs of any growing company, such as increased trained staffing, upgraded equipment, office needs, site feature and tool software upgrades, deferred employee compensation, and the marketing budget. The most glaring need at this time is increased staffing, and we hope to be able to address that shortly.

--------------------

The revenue we are generating just barely covers immediate operating expense as noted above, but we have glaring upgrade needs which, as we address them, will likely put us back to expensing more monthly than we generate from the site in terms of fees.

Additional staffing costs money. Programming for the multiple new feature requests costs money. Staffing. Training. Equipment. They all cost money, and that's not even including the compensation payable which has already been deferred, or any recuperation of invested capital.

All of this, this effort, this attempt to make change where it's needed, is for you, and every single member of Wagglepop.

We're on your side, and working as hard as we can every single day to make your online selling and buying better, for the long-term.

We've outlined it, and said it time and again. We have a plan in place, and while some of it is dependent on increased revenues for conventional advertsing, much of it is bold, innovative, and unconventional.

We are not a large corporation with near unlimited funds for advertising. Because of that, we need to work harder and be smarter than our competition. Many companies face the same realities, and prosper and thrive in spite of it, and we believe we will as well.

Karen - WP Customer Care

Give me a friggin' break! That is pure Ray Romeo AKA Edit. BS, more BS and all BS.

3rd largest store on WP Wrote:I've noticed that the number of stores has peaked and is starting to decline slightly. Most of the former poppers have mentioned that the number of sales they are experiencing has not been supporting even the nominal amount that stores cost. I know I haven't had any WP sales for a couple of weeks.

With the start of the holiday season upon us, doesn't it make sense to use some of the windfall income that you have made due to the unexpected explosion of WP subscriptions to help those of us who have made that income possible?

It appears that the reciprocal excitement of WP sellers to also be buyers has leveled off in much the same fashion as the growth of stores. Let's go after some outside income...

karenray Wrote:Time for a reality check.

There are some very hard business realities you are failing to address, and we continue to expect to either lose money monthly to maintain the site or just nearly break even for quite a while.

I've posted this earlier elsewhere, but it bears repeating in relation to your post:

The following is from the latest issue of Wagglepop Today, and I hope it sheds some light on your outlook:

the rest of the post is a repeat of one of her earlier posts

I often tell my customers "time for a reality check"...NOT :Smile
