Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Thank you nanna girl for the OTWA post. I'd forgotten about it and it DOES bear repeating, especially this part:
Quote:Here's the deal folks... SELLERS want an alternative to eBay. We all know that.Bolding mine. That says volumes, and it punctuates that fact that no matter how many dogs and ponies Ray puts in his show or how much he cranks up the smoke machine and readjusts the mirrors -- no matter how much Koolaid he pours, or evangelical he speeches he gives -- no matter how many listings he fudges or ghost stores he creates -- BUYERS DID NOT, DO NOT AND NEVER WILL WANT TO GO THERE. If they want to engage in bidding for an item, they go to eBay. I tried to point this out on a WP post. I simply asked why buyers would want to come to WP as opposed to eBay, especially with the most buyer-unfriendly home page in the auction business and the ridiculous registration requirements by a site that basically unknown. Buyers don't give a wombat poo poo what it costs for a seller to list or whether that seller is making a profit, breaking even or loosing money. Buyers want value and service from sellers they trust on a site they know. OT: I'm still stocking my Ecrater store and after I get a couple hundred items and have it all set up with check out, etc., I'll open it for business. For those of you who also do eBay: how to you redirect traffic to Ecrater from eBay. I asked this once on PSU but never received an answer. Edit: The "Streets of Pooland" I can't tell by your Koolaid that you are a Pooper You can tell by our Koolaid we're loyal Poopers, too You can tell by our Koolaid they we are all Poppers. So go pour some Koolaid and you can be a Pooper, too. |

"Build it and they will come" was chanted all over WP last year for months... Let's think of something else...
Build it and Promote it, then they will come!
Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

I find it very comical, yet very disturbing at the same time! My kind of people! I do have a serious question though, right after I wipe the spewed coffee off my monitor..... OK, here goes. When adding meta tag keywords on ecrater or anywhere else for that matter, should I just add general categories for example WWE Action Figures, or should I get more specific like Matt Hardy, Undertaker, Hulk Hogan...ect? Thanks for any input! |

Be both general and specific... and remember... keywords can be key phrases too...
example- wrestling wwf wrestling professional wresting hulk hogan Someone looking for hulk stuff will put hulk hogan in the box... if you have wrestling as you keyword... they won't find you. I always try to think like a buyer when keywording my items. I think... "How would I do a search for this item if I wanted it?" Hope that helps. |

For those of you who also do eBay: how to you redirect traffic to Ecrater from eBay. I asked this once on PSU but never received an answer.
This is what I do, which has probably been said before but it is working good for me. I made business cards and magnets to put in every shipment. If you think about it magnets are great because most people tend to throw them on their fridge when they get one and they look at it over and over again. You can make them yourself and just print them out. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Quote:Okay guys - I really don't want to have these easter baskets in inventory until next year...sooooo...here's my deal to WP store owners only! Okay, now tell me that sellers buying from sellers isn't the norm. This was posted on today's Share Your Wares Thread. If, by some miniscule coincidence, a REAL buyer decided to check out the SYW thread, do you really think they are going to shop with this seller? Gee whiz actual buyer, I have to cut my fellow store owners a deal since Ray sucks their last dollar every month....sorry, but you have to pay full price so Ray gets his FVF. Great idea....NOT.
I hate stupid people!
