Lurker, are you referring to the sales report?

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I am amazed the sellers there are still hanging in that place. I haven't followed that site in quite awhile but I do see them dropping on PSU and am even surprised they are as high as they are. The people that are still there aren't really people I was impressed with anyway when I was there. What happened to Diana? I did notice she came back and was enthused and now she has 2 items in her store and seems to be doing nothing. She was the only hope of getting people interested in that site again. I know I am much happier where I am and it has taken me months to find a site that is right for me.

Quote:Traffic has been down along with decreased participation, reflecting the industry trend for the month of March. Industry trend? What industry are you in KaRay? And why is traffic down when your supersplenderifical Grand Opening was supposed to triple traffic? At least you actually admitted sales were down nearly 20%. I still don't buy the numbers based on what the cheerleaders themselves reported. What a crock.
Yes, and what industry, indeed? The truth is that MOST RETAILERS REPORTED AN INCREASE IN SALES for March (I can personally attest to that), owing to the fact that Easter came early this year. And let's not forget that February was a short month, so even if your sales report is accurate (which I doubt), that makes it even MORE pathetic. Hey KayRay, since the highly touted "Grand Opening" resulted in a decrease in sales as opposed to increase, maybe you should think about sponsoring a "Grand Closing" instead. |

Shouldn't they have included what the great marketing plan was for their grand opening now that the month is over? After all there isn't any reason to keep it a secret anymore. It would have been a nice touch to their sales report. People would like to learn from their mistakes

After all, we wouldn't want eBay trying to copy their successful techniques!

11214 More number fudging. This is the number of memberships DB posted above.
That figure represents the number of people who have registered on Wagglepoop from May 16, 2006 to February 1, 2007. Having completed a survey of each and every registered member, I can verify that less than 10% of them have ever made a purchase on WP. This number also includes all the members/stores that have closed since WP opened. The so called non-registered users, which not one is marked as (they show up as 'The requested task could not be completed'), are still included in this 'active' membership count. And the ghost stores. The KaRay registrations are included too. I can't say with certainty how many are his but I can about these: http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/furillo-store and this one, http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/clendenon-store and this one, http://www.wagglepop.com/stores/admin-test-store and this one, http://www.wagglepop.com/bin/auction/vie...w_feedback&userID=20 and this one, http://www.wagglepop.com/bin/auction/vie...w_feedback&userID=9959 Then there are the members who opened multiple accounts. I know these don't have a negative bearing on the total but they do not represent unique accounts. Then there are all us lurkers who have no intention of buying - just well, lurking. I could go through them all again and report a more accurate percentage but I bet the active membership is less than 1,000. I predict KaRay will post (if he dares) a membership number of 11789 which it shows as of March 1, 2007 or 12387 if the date he uses is April 1, 2007. But it will include all those that are gone, dormant, phoney and/or not interested in dealing on WP. heep5: whizzing in the wind.
