Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens

Someone may have already mentioned this, but notice that there IS the ability to EDIT membership levels. In other words, they don't have to delete/close your account like they keep saying. All they need to do is edit your membership.

The account closing is done to reduce the number of store closings  which is also why WP removed the 'close your store' link.  The longer WP is open the more successful the "closed account" threat will become at deterring store closings because people won't want to give up their feedback ratings of 500, 1000, or more and start from scratch.

Plunder fixed the RScript security hole and gave Mandy a test account so she could verify they had fixed it.  I don't think Ray's "engineering team" is capable of fixing the hole on their own so WP will have to wait for RScript to issue a patch.  I also don't think Ray's "engineering team"  is capable of upgrading the script themselves when new versions are released.

Ray is not using alot of the features that he could.  He's claiming they don't have them and that his staff is working on them.  What a joke.   They have these features on other rscript sites.

Sneaky posted a list of the unused features near the beginning of this thread. Every few months (starting with the Froogle/Base feeds) Ray has checked a box in the admin to enable a feature and then claimed his "engineering team" developed the feature.

Someone on this thread pointed out that Ray was able to get his own feedback over to WP.

Ray and his brother tested RScript's eBay feedback import feature last Spring.  Rscript actually removed this feature 2 months ago due to pressure from eBay.

I am happy to report that my store has made it almost to the bottom of page 2, from a starting point of very high on Page 1. I find it crazy that I am still on page 2 with less than 700 listings. Now, I am off to see what I have missed out on in the previous posts.

I will try to explain again.  Your monthly fee posted to your account last on April 24th.  THAT fee would have normally been invoiced and payable on May 10th, but payment became neccessary sooner than that due to your request to close your store.  In order for that fee to have not applied, you would have had to request that your store be closed enough time prior to APRIL 24th to allow Karen time to close your store before that fee posted.  I hope this helps.

Just curious User, but how do you know the details of Flying Highs billing account such as the date the invoice should have been posted.  It's always been my understanding that the invoice is posted beginning on or very shortly thereafter the date you sign up.

I would say correct me if I'm wrong, but since I know you will anyway...

It takes 2 seconds to close a store from the admin. :

There is absolutely no reason why KaRay could not issue a refund or pro-rated credit after the fee posted since issuing credits is also a 2-second process in the admin.

User - I completely understand what you're saying and that's why when I closed my stores I closed them 1 day prior to my 'anniversary' dates. However, you're missing the point entirely. There is NO reason why WP shouldn't pro-rate the amount due when a seller closes mid-cycle. They are charging for services NOT rendered. It's just bad business.

I didn't know my personal account information was so easy to get. Some one must have access to everyon's WP's account information. That does't sound very secure. I understand that I should pay for the days between the 24th and my closing request date. user391 you seem to have access to WP members information how much do I owe WP for the days between the 24th and the request date. You must know that date as well. I have had more hits in the past hour on my WP listing that the entire time I was at WP

2.  Seller requested AGAIN to close store.

3.  Seller DEMANDED store closing.

STORE IS NOT CLOSED.

This also happened to seller FarvelCargo.
