Sitting all day and playing on the computer de-listing and listing items help keep your girlish figure too eh?
For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
On a more serious note (and I take my coffee with milk one sugar 'THE' Pet Guy) so many poppers, including many of us here that are ex-poppers, have stated that they stay or have stayed as long as they have/had because of the environment, the friendships, they enjoy with their fellow sellers. The comaraderie, the support generated amongst themselves and identify with strangers of like mind.
I commend that but with mixed feelings. Let me put it this way. Is it worth 9.95 a month out of your pocket to cultivate and perpetuate these friendships; these relationships? Especially if you are not realizing a return on the investment you've made in WP as your selling venue? I'll be blunt but not with any intention to offend. It hints of either buying friendship or of a person desperate for a certain comfort level with people that they are unsuccessful at achieving offline. Exchanging personal emails and continuing the correspondence with cyber-friends as a non-WP seller should be just as important, just as attractive, just as fulfilling and just as rewarding but wouldn't cost a dam cent. I stay in touch with a number of the great people I met on WP. Some have become cherished friends after the fact - after we both left WP. And for that exposure I'm thankful for having been there when I was because I probably wouldn't have met or gotten to know of them otherwise. And being able to chat with them one on one without ridiculous censoring has made our friendships all the stronger. I don't have to sneak around and hope that CC1 doesn't 'catch' me. I don't have to created an offline forum so we can talk under the duress of common tensions. I don't have to anylize our conversations or ensure they are sanitized of any suspicious content that would target us as conspirators planning a revolution to supercede the WP revolution. I can value my relationship with these wonderful people, save myself 9.95 a month and cultivate it as long as I have an internet connection. I love the freedom. And I love the lack of monetary value placed on something that is worth so much - priceless in fact. Keep your 9.95 a month WP - I don't need you.
The one thing you can never afford to lose is your temper.

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Sherrand here is your coffee
During my time at WP I also met some truly fine people. Some of them are here on TT. I hope in time too rebuild the connection with them. Some of them are still there. I already miss my connection with them. They are very honest in their hope to make WP an on-line player just as I was. I never asked for help that someone and usually more that one of them would help. The desire for all of us; them was that all the others there would become viable sellers. The camaraderie is real the dedication is real. It is the leadership that was and I believe will always be uncaring about the venue they created. I was trying to hold on while putting eggs in other baskets. I was on the fence about what to do with WP. My wife lost her faith in WP. She emptied her store and asked to have it closed. It wasnt until they tried holding her for ransom for a lousy $9.95 that caused me to take off my self installed blinders. The discussing email they sent her showed me the kind of people they are. We have other on-line stores that arent doing any better than WP was. Hopefully that will change. I just paid eCrater $70.00 to get featured on their home page. So it isnt the $9.95 that pushed me away from WP it was the attack on my wife that put me over the edge with them. I have mixed feelings about leaving the sellers at WP. It is like I let them down. There is no doubt in my mind that leaving the management there was the right thing to do. If Karen or Ray or whoever were as interested in making a go of WP as the diminishing sellers are it would do well. The focus of gleaning sellers and not buyers doesnt make any since. Like I have said before on this forum you can have the best laid out store, wonderful products and first class customer service. Without buyers it will never work. We do enjoy this forum. It is entertaining and informative. The fellowship here is comfortable. Even though we have only been here a short time it seems like family. We look forward to coming on to see what has transpired while we were away. I want to thank everyone on this post for making us feel welcomed. Sorry for the long post
Sometimes you have to slow down to go faster.
