Platz,
I am so glad that Dusty is on the road to recovery! I hope you were able to catch up on sleep last night. Well today is going to be quite busy, my daughters 8th grade formal today and her date cancelled on her last night >. Yesterday was the first time she has ever cried over a boy. But I tried to mend her wounds and we sat and I gave her a french manicure. lol The trials and tribulations of young love. |

Hope she's able to brush it off and enjoy herself despite the jerk. Platz - how is the patient today?

My son is also in 8th grade... maybe he could take her!?!?!?! He's a cutie!! Blond hair with blue eyes, he's about 5' 10" and an athlete, football, basketball, baseball... (I know 13 and 5' 10"... geez)... I feel so bad for her... but ya know, she's better off 'cause he could have done worse, like ditched her at the dance or something which I've also seen happen. Teenagers are so fickle. I don't think they should have date dances when their that age... I think the kids should all arrive with their friends and then pair up when they get there. The perfect example of what I mean... In the beginning of the school year, he had a girlfriend that he was "going out" with for 2 days (an eternity when your 13)... he went to a dance with his friend and was meeting her there. He came home that night with a different girlfriend. The next day, they broke up and he was getting calls from yet another girl!! I told him that he is NEVER to start going out with one girl without telling the previous girl first. I made it a point to tell him that it is extremely disrespectful to lie to someone and not tell them that your not interested anymore. I also said that just because you don't like someone anymore as a girlfriend doesn't mean that they did anything wrong and that it's never OK to cheat. Its very hurtful. I told him that he'd understand what I meant when someone cheated on him. btw, I told him all this 'cause he asked me what he should tell girl #1 if he wants to go out with girl #2. So I went with it. Usually, I just keep my ears open and my mouth shut. Anyway so after all this he says, "Man, I don't know how you and daddy stay married... I like someone new every day!" I said, "Me too!" He thought that was hysterical. I told him that at 13, your supposed to feel that way. It's normal. I hope she goes to the dance anyway and has a really good time. Give her my love and tell her the best revenge is to go and have fun!! |

Puppy Update... he is up and walking around. He's doing that perk your ears up and tilt your head at me thing. He looks so cute, I wish I could get his head fixed to it stays that way!!! He had all his meds this AM wrapped in cheese which makes him very happy. He had a good night but I noticed that his breathing is still labored and a little shallow. He seems to be walking better today too. Thanks everyone for your love and concern!! I cannot even express how important it is to me!!

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Awe, You ladies are so sweet thank you. Your son sounds like a cutie pie, can he be in Rochester, NY by 6 tonight...lol My daughter is a cutie too, (I may be a bit partial...lol). She is about 5", sandy blond hair a big icy grey eyes. She is also a brianiac, she made me sit with her and watch both the democrat & republican debates. She is big into history and politics and loves to debate. Its sad to say I can barley keep up with her, she remembers more facts and names than I can even thank of remembering. I think she feels better today, she will just meet up with her friends and have a good time. I told her that she is going to look so pretty that when he sees her walk in, he will regret doing that too her. She is not very boy crazy yet, I think it was just the idea of having a date, not the actual boy taking her to the dance. I agree with you Platz, 13 is too young to have date dances. Its nice to know I am not the only one dealing with the troubles of a 13 year old...lol

Brat - Sorry I almost thought it was Platski with the upset daughter.
I hadn't even made it through my first cup of coffee.....when I posted... As my oldest is on her second to last day of kindergarten, and my son has me busy cleaning urine off the walls....I don't have any words of wisdom to impart. More like I will be learning from you! Wishing you Brat & Platski some good karma!! |

My advice to my 18 year old niece was as long as Duracell makes batteries, a woman does not need a man.
Guess that's too mature for an 8 year old though. Thank goodness I have boys. Glad to hear about Dusty, Platzki!
