Joe joined in 1999. Boardie said he has been selling on eBay "over 6 years" Boardie said he opened a web site 3 years ago. Joe opened a web site 3 years ago. Boardie said he stopped getting harrassing emails and having people mess with his listings when he got a posting ID. Joe was constantly complaining about both things. Final proof that boardie is "Joe"--Boardie signed one of his posts GCW. "Joe's" whois data for his web site shows his initials are GW. ![]() The question is: why is "Joe" pushing WP? |

Thanks, iron_chick.
About the whole Wagglepop thing. My first reaction was: "....." My second reaction was and is: He deleted the databases and sensitive information He did not delete the databases and sensitive information. He said he programmed the software from scratch. He did not program the software from scratch. He said Wagglepop was gone forever. He said Wagglepop is not gone forever. ... you get the idea. And the pattern. Simply amazing.

RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Ray is sure to show up on the stores board - he may have made sincere promises to himself that he would focus and let the boards go, but Ray is Ray. He will be there if he is not already.
I enjoy Joe Eaglefeather. He often says things just to pull people's strings. Lets imagine Ray has learned some things. (not everything - he is still Ray) After all he did manage to keep the new site secret until it opened. He likely will have a shaking out period to fix problems that always occur in a new website. So for a couple months things will be quiet, there will be some I-told-you-sos from those who expect him to fail. Then, I would expect something will happen. Something creative --- and big. I have no idea how he will get by the bad rep from his last try. I think he will. This is the guy who with $500 worth of software managed to get USA Today and the Wall Street Journal to class him as the new competitor to Ebay. Popcorn, anyone???

RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Quote:This is the guy who with $500 worth of software managed to get USA Today and the Wall Street Journal to class him as the new competitor to Ebay. IMHO, it was the ebay sellers, themselves, who rocket-launched WP to fame. Not Ray. Never before had there been such a loud outcry and stampede away from something! The press loves stampedes and protests. And the exact same thing would be happening now if it hadn't been messed up last year, as the opportunity is here again -- even more so because of the losses people are taking at this time. Ray still probably has only $500 invested in this new box software. He needs a HUGE electronic network to succeed (whatever that means) and a large, super-competent staff. With the teensy number of sellers already signed up, the system is already bogging down -- according to threads elsewhere. A few sabotage strikes (which is very likely, should he start to get any amount of important attention), and he'll be toast again. Business competition is so cut-throat, that without a massive system in place just for his own protection, I don't see his site surviving. Ebay will see to it personally that he's toast -- not to mention those that would do it just for fun. Sad, really...... I wish it were not so...... |
