Hello Members,

I think it's important at this time that we post a reminder concerning the Linking Policy on Wagglepop.

The Linking Policy is as follows:

Listing Links
---------------------------------------------------
Wagglepop allows sellers to place the following links in your item description, or on any Wagglepop hosted page unless otherwise noted:

-One link to a page that further describes the item being sold in that listing.
-One link to an email address that opens an email client for potential buyers to ask questions about the item in that listing. However, that link may not display a website address as part of the email address, if that address offers items and products for purchase.
-Links to photos of the item for sale.
-Links to other listings of that seller.
-Links to an About Me page.
-Links that provide credits to third parties, if such links are material parts of an embedded element.
-One link to listing terms and conditions, provided those terms and conditions match those in the listing.

Wagglepop prohibits sellers from placing the following links in the item description, or on any Wagglepop hosted page unless otherwise noted:

-Links to web sites or pages offering merchandise, or static URL's directing to similar, are not permitted on Wagglepop.
-Links to sites that solicit Wagglepop User ID's or passwords.
-Links that encourage buyers to place their Wagglepop bids through a site other than Wagglepop.

Policy: Linking to web sites that offer to trade, sell or purchase goods or services, or including links for any purpose other than those listed above is not allowed. Listings or pages in violation will be cancelled without notice or refund.

The link issue is not the only issue, although I am infuriated now that Karen PERSONALLY sent me an email saying to remove links from my listings back in July, which I did and have never put back because they are not allowed -- period. What did you want me to do? Go through everybody's store and see who was using links and tattle on them - how professional is that? When I questioned why I wasn't getting hits, some sellers said I must be selling "junk" (their words, not mine), otherwise I would get hits, while the same item, selling for twice the price on eBay was getting tons of hits. Other sellers were telling me I wasn't working hard enough and should be putting flyers in supermarkets and laundermats. Whenever I questioned anything, I was basically told to put up or shut up -- there's this grand plan beyond the scope of understanding by we mere earthlings. This place has been one bid waste of my time, energy and money. While a few sellers here have really given me a hard time, I'm more angry at management for its cliquey nepotism and Swiss cheese guidelines. I'd be a fool to stick around here for more "surprises."

As you know as a business owner, business involves being able to adapt to your retail environment, and being able to have the flexibility to change your mind or reconsider important elements of your business.

That's exactly what we do each day, and are doing now regarding this particular link.

Today we say that linking to "Site X" is not allowed, but six months form now linking to "Site X" may be perfectly proper, based on a changing landscape or additional information.

That's just basic business common sense and practice.

If you do feel the need for account closure, we fully respect that as your decision to make. Please contact Customer Care should that need processing.

I went to WP and read this thread, omg!!

A shimmer of light was hitting the poppers and as they were beginning to see that they were being HAD!  Karen pops in and with a  tells everyone that they can continue    Kumbaya comes in and tells them all what nasty little turds they are and all starts to get better in the land of Koolaid.   

Then words go back and forth between a couple poppers and Karen Mommy comes in and reminds them all about the rules on the boards about being courteous to each other  .

Man, it reminds me of an episode of Barney and Friends!!

Just for the record, Scott, you did EXACTLY what you claim you didn't do. I want the whole WP community to know that you insinuated I was a liar, and that I "made up" a story on another post and then you directly assaulted my intregrity when you more or less accused me of selling an item privately outside of WP which is something I would never do. I also thought the comment about how any reply I might have to your post is a waste as I'm talking to myself and nobody cares or pays attention to what I might have to say both rude and insulting.

At this time, I would ask that anyone for whom the guidelines for Community participation are unclear review the Board Participation Policy, particularly this excerpt from the Personal Responsibility section:

All posts must be constructive, courteous and respectful. No exceptions. If you disagree with someone, disagree with dignity and civility. Posts should speak only to the matter at hand, not to personal judgements of character or disposition.

Violations of this policy will not be tolerated.

As further stated in the policy, I certainly hope we do not need to referee conversation between adults.

I also believe you owe me an apology when you claimed WP was doing "due diligence" by denying me a credit on my account and that I should "just eat it", insinuated that I was clandestinely conducting a transaction outside of WP (as you referenced at the time that some other member admitted he was doing exactly that), when in fact, the buyer and I simply mutally and amicably agree to cancel the transaction. Anyone could see this was a blatant assumption and an attack on my character and why Karen didn't step in on this is beyond me.

I wish you well, too, and every other seller here. I had very high hopes for WP, perhaps too high. Every time you sign off with your Kumbaya, just remember it was me you originally took it from.

The person who posted about the swiss cheese guidelines has been ruffling feathers at WP since July.  I actually got in such an argument with her (in my former WP life) and got so pissed off that I put her on my blocked bidder list just so I wouldn't have to be nice to her if she bought something from me.

NOW... I have to say that I agree with 99% of her opinions... but at the time she first attacked me, I didn't.  So, she's still up to her antics, huh?  ROFL!  And the cheerleaders I'm sure have the little vein in the foreheads popping out!
