Does anyone know any history on VAS?

We are trying to figure out how this person who doesn't post often, but when they do they always come on to casually mention "ebay infiltrators" and general referee and "stop the negativity".

Coming out to start the "lounge" and fluffy chit chat.

We are assuming it is a pal of Ray's.

Any dirt I might have missed?

Princess, amazing isn't it...what you see once you are gone from WP.  There are many stores with only one or two items, and many of them have been there a long time.  Either they are stores that Raybil opened to keep numbers up or store owners who had no clue how to close them because they never visited the boards.

Moon - sorry to hear about your hand! You take it easy. It is amazing how much pressure a cat's jaw can issue? One of our cats bit my husband right thru the nail and quick of his pointer finger. He had finally caught this cat and was standing outside our screen door telling me to open the door. I was looking at him with this cat attached to his finger asking myself, do I really want to do this? This cat gave us 3 beautiful kittens which we still have (and they are HUGE now).

What specific tips can you share with us?

What type of advertising do you do on your own? How do you drive customers to your store?

Do you offer special services to your customers that they enjoy?

My tip is to set up a WP Friends page in your store. I don't know what other people are finding, but I often see hits on my site meter from other store's friends page. Thank you friends!!!

I have contacted all my previous buyers from the othEr place.
When I closed my store there I forgot about my email subscribers list - but found most of them through my PayPal history.

I have participated in link exchanges through store directories, link referrals, auction listers, etc, submitted my store to all the search engines I could think of, plus more.

All of the above except email subscriber list - I'd rather have folks' permission prior to sending mass emails. However, the old euphemism is true - 'you can lead a horse to water...yada, yada.'

Point is, it is very hard to build customer loyalty online...you can have STELLAR service, give promos & gifts out the wazoo, and bottom line...people have busy lives and short memories. There is soooo much online commerce it is difficult to build a customer following these days.

However, by my standards, my store is not 'successful' yet - it will achieve that status when it becomes my sole support. :-)

A WP Store? Wow. Hope you didn't plan to retire.... or die....

Funny, MOST of the people who answered said that the person they bought their logo from is NO LONGER THERE.  Yet another sign....

I bet a lot of Poppers are worried about getting the boot if they say something wrong or if someone else takes what they type out of context ......
