And the similarities aren't just similarities. They're dead-on, whether he's aware of it or not.

WP is most certainly a cult.

Usually businesses don't become cults, because there's no sense of spiritual satisfaction. The "believer" aspect of WP (believe in the cause) is where it differs from businesses like Amazon, eBay, Overstock, etc.

Not only is WP believed to be a viable venue, the members / followers believe it is a symbolic stand against eBay. They have the promise of a perceived "afterlife" fueling their group.

1. I use paypal because it is safe and easy, as do most buyers.

The mistaken belief that most online buyers use PayPal is (as KarenRay would say) "applying some major "eBay-think" to a decidely non-eBay environment."

It's quite clear, that as a community, sales are increasing at a tremendous rate. While it is unfortunate that all sellers have not been able to get a piece of this (or a large enough piece to make them happy) the undeniable fact is that visitors continue to increase, page views contiue to increase, and sales continue to increase, all at rates that no one could have imagined 6 months ago. Wagglepop will continue to grow.

Every store in Wagglepop is part of the community that makes it possible for all the other stores to succeed. A buyer that comes in to buy some beads, may eventually look for some Pottery Barn stuff. A buyer that comes in to look for a book, may look for a bikini while he/she is here. Every seller supports all the others by offering peripheral items. Eventually, people will come in here specifically looking for Pottery Barn or DJ Records or Hemostats. So be here when they do.

A.  WP2 has only been open 5 months so where is he getting "6 months ago" from?
