RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
There is a thread on the Wagglesh.IT boards that asks "What are your favorite 3 things about Wagglepop". The majority of the 20 sellers who responded to the thread are unable to count and list 4 things.Â

True. I sold on eBay for several years before I even knew what message boards were.

RE: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Seller response:
Do you have ten small items you can sell for under $5.00? We could all buy one and keep you going for this month. Another Seller response: If WP would allow it, I will pay your fees this month for youl[/i] So I posted on the WP board: "I think "xxx seller" and "yyy seller" have great ideas. When someone says they want to leave, we can all do pity purchases, and if a seller can't make the monthly fee payment another seller who's making money or feeling generous could just chip in and pay it for them. Sounds like a really sound business practice." That's all I said. Next post: "Business is not always about making money." My post was immediately pulled. |

Most of the poopers have already seen those posts from WP-1, and it didn't matter to them, remember? I'm sure it won't now, either.

"Business is not always about making money." [/quote] ![]() In the grand scheme of things, $140.00 a year is not a great deal of money. But I have to wonder how many people would reach into their purse or wallet, pull the cash out and light it on fire. Same frickin' difference. Evidently, these people are either independently wealthy or do not depend on sales to pay the bills and put food on the table; they can afford to be smug. The shame is, it looks like there are some really nice poeple being suckered, too. They're trying to find a way to be helpful, even if it doesn't make good business sense. This gives me a little clearer picture of how Ray's able to keep them hopeful and hanging on. |
