[2] More commonly they will post defamatory or derogatory statements about their stalking target on web pages, message boards and in guest books designed to trigger a reaction or response from their victim, thereby initiating contact.
I'm with Meows here - WHO is the target? I think most here can appreciate all the hard work sellers are putting forth... no one is targeting a seller. Do you mean WP is the target? If so, then by that definition, you'd also have to lump together any seller who ever became irate at eBay and posted something about that site... which there's plenty of posts over on the WP forums pertaining to the dislike and dissatisfaction of eBay... oh my! There's even some posts over there that speak of things sellers have posted on the eBay boards!
Exactly it has been mentioned on this thread many many times no one is targeting sellers. We are discussing are experiences with a site who we feel has bad business practices. As moon said you would have to lump that in with anyone who has ever posted anything negative about any of the other sites out there.
Quote:To my knowledge alot of the posts that have gone up over the past few days have been posted with the sole intention of proving PROVOKING A REACTION FROM TT POSTERS Quote:cyberstalkers target victims using online forums... Hah, proof that the wigglewort boards are full of cyberstalkers who are targeting TT posters!
Right who is provoking who. By your own statement you said they posted things intentionally. Also it's a silly thing and I know many here don't really give a care about it but what about our friends the karma gremlins. They come over and take away peoples karma some days it was every hour on the hour. Are they trying to provoke the posters here? Quote:Again, the open discussion of other PUBLIC forums is NOT cyberstalking. Where are you getting that they are private? There is no secret password to those forums. Anyone who is registered at WP can go on and read those forums. They are not private anyone can copy and discuss things that are posted there. The same way they can on any other site. Again you would have to group us in with anyone who has ever posted about a negative experience they've had at any of the sites. If the sellers at WP are looking to blame anyone for the bad reputation that WP has look to the owner and his bad business practices. There would not be so many people posting about negative experiences there if it were not for that. The site had over 900 stores at one point it is down to about 200 over 700 stores have left I think that speaks volumes. |

While I am not the one who posted it.It was directed straight at this forum or did you miss the kool-aid part? Last evening another wp member stumbled upon this forum by accident by entering wagglepop into their search box instead of her browser. She located this forum and read through a few pages and then posted "smile we are on candid camera" bringing it to other sellers attention what was going on here. To which the followng response was issued by one you call the Lead cheer leader apparently..."that cant be possible. no fellow popper would be involved with something like cyberstalking because that is sooooo illegal" To my knowledge alot of the posts that have gone up over the past few days have been posted with the sole intention of proving that cyberstalking is infact taking place. They posted things specifically knowing that they would be posted here so that proof could infact be established.
I read your post in the wee hours of the morning, but chose to decline commenting until I had coffee. You should be questioning your fellow popper because what she has told you wasn't true. She didn't run across this forum by accident by typing Wagglepop into her address bar. This forum doesn't even show up in Google until page 8 and there are at least two other forums in the list before this one. And just for the record....I know exactly what was said, who started the thread and who participated. I saw the thread and dismissed it as insignificant. I suspect you were sent here to 'warn us' because your little bunch was disappointed their post wasn't copied/pasted before Ray deleted it. They thought we missed it. Nope. I find it convenient you showed up posting in this thread around the same time User showed up posting in another one: WPSSU and what it means to you It just so happened PS was here last night too. Coincidence? I think not.
Never argue with an idiot they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

I have no idea what user you are talking to I would have to actually sift through those posts...can ya point me in the right direction as to who you are referring to? I can honestly say I have not posted on any other thread than this one & the welcome to tt.
and for the record I am very outspoken and am always compelled to speak my mind but I am not now nor have I ever been a wp seller. I was on ebay for a short stint and left after the last rate hike. I am just now considering getting back online & am considering alternatives to ebay. |

For one~ HONEY I never said any of the above were my beliefs. I think you all as "ex-poppers" must have gone through some **** in your days with wp to feel the way you all do. Some of which I agree with whole heartedly. However I do believe in any human beings right to privacy. Those boards are private they are meant for the members of wp. if you are an "ex-popper" stay off the boards. Dont sign in every day solely to get/give something to talk about. If those conversations were meant to carry on here they themselves would have brought it here to post. okay so they are die hards and will stick with it to the end despite their lack of sales or otherwise. but many of them are friends. consider themselves a family. You are not ripping to shreds what is said by Romeo or even whats new on wp as a company. you rip them to shreds for EVERY thing they discuss whether it be how they are promoting their business or the fact that they trust each other enough to discuss their life difficulties up to an including potty training their kids.
If someone is a registered member they have every right to sign into those boards. Also remember anyone can register those boards are not private. You can not control who reads them or discusses them. As long as they aren't breaking forum rules they have every right to be there. |

MBB, My advice: Set up your own website. Forget you ever heard the word WP. Let no one else control your business, except you !
If you read the WP boards, you won't see any honest business or advertising discussions, because they were all deleted. If you read this TT thread (where nothing is sensored/deleted), you'll see much of what Ray deleted there, and then it will be crystal clear what kind of scam it is. |
