Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Maybe we have been too nice to the sellers, by using xxxx
Maybe we should just post them as they write them. That way EVERYONE will know WHO said WHAT. If they don't bother to read your examples of "ghost stores" and find it entertaining to come aboard TT and so blatently lie, why should we bother extending that courtesy of hiding their name? I will drink to that! Let me go get my champaigne glasses with the charms on them, so we can all have a toast and not confuse who's glass is who's. |
Well, to be honest, I think I'm going to fade back in the shadows and just lurk from now on. Over on WP, they are now talking about their non-ghost stores and signing posts with XXX. I've lost any empathy. Don't get me wrong - I love my TT friends and enjoy the chats. I'm just tired of "talking" to a bunch of brick walls that are bound and determined to follow Ray to South America no matter what facts or information is given to them. WP will fail. It basically already has. If the floundering members (and that term is SO appropriate) want to continue champagne Kool-Aid swilling and pom pom waving, so be it. There's so much other valuable info here on TT, I'll still be around. I'm just not going to waste any more time, thought or energy on Ray and his kick-ass loser site.
Eclectica, don't pay them an iota of attention. What they are posting on WP will only backfire on them with their references to TT. Buyers (the few that 'stumble' onto WP) and other sellers who read but don't post on the WP forums will have their curiosity pricked by the conversation. They will follow the bread crumbs and find us and we will be given the opportunity to either inform them of WP's nefarious operation or confirm any suspicions they were already harbouring when they read our thread. So let them have at it. I welcome the results. Nothing like having the insiders doing your work for you. They can chuckle about ghost stores, claim they are pretty live looking ghosts. That's fine. Perhaps they didn't have their reading glasses on when they read posts pertaining to this phenomena. They seem to have missed registering the symptoms that define a ghost store. But the sellers and potential sellers who read their jovial posts will wonder what is meant by a ghost store. And on here, they will learn. Don't you love it when a plan comes together?
Hehe. Don't worry, no getting rid of me completely. (Or maybe I should say, please worry - I'm around to stay!) You guys are way too much fun to desert now, lol. I guess I'm just speaking from frustration. You remember the analogy you used of a bad relationship? (Gosh, I think it was you but I'm too lazy to go look for sure!) Well, its kind of like that for me right now. We've enlightened, we've talked, we've all but begged these people to at least consider all the angles. No matter what we say or do, we can't change the other party in this "relationship". They just won't hear it, won't see both sides, won't consider that they may be wrong. Is it Fine's siggy line that says I hate stupid people? Well, me too. It's come to that point for me. There's a difference between blindly following and just being plain stupid. I'm sorry if that's offensive, but as I've said before, I call it like I see it. Why help people that don't want to be helped? Anyhoo... you're right about the ghost stores. I can't remember when you initially explained your theory on these stores. Maybe it would be helpful to bump that post. I'm sure there are lurkers that have no idea what we mean when we talk about them. For all I know, they really do think we're talking about their stores. Time for an adult beverage. It has been a really, really, really long day. Heh... maybe that's why I'm cranky?

Eclectica your only flaw is that you are a sweetheart and always willing to look at things with an open heart and mind.
You and the other old timers have been at this for so long it is very easy to get frustrated. The remaining loyalists will stay there until the lights go out, and Ray shuts it down. That is certainly their choice. However if I had known what I learned from this thread and the OTWA thread early on I wouldn't have given WP a second look. The information was fascinating, disturbing, and eye opening. We have been called infiltrators, trolls, naysayers, paid ebay informants, and recently cyberstalking bashers. I however see all of you as wonderful, spirited, hardworking, honest people. I am honored to have met all of you and it has been a pleasure to take this crazy, funny, and wild journey together. |

Wow, I made a post that included the store count being below 200, said I was off to finish catching up and I lost karma for that!
Guess I touched a nerve

Who we gonna call? Ghost store busters!
Sorry, I'm not very good, but that song is rolling around in my head. And, yes, I HATE STUPID PEOPLE.
