Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Quote:So, Truth, is it your belief that Ray is part of a syndicate that puts sites like WP together solely for the purpose of attracting naive, impressionable sellers in a moment of weakness and then proceeds to siphon their bank accounts as long as the ride lasts? That at no time did Ray really have any intention of creating any kind of "eBay alternative", but was simply using that as a pick-up line? Sorry DB no that is not my belief. My belief is this: WP2 was all about filling Ray's pocket's from the beginning and with the addition of the SmartSell Pro package Ray found a way to make renewable income month after month after month. There is nothing wrong with a website owner making money, but WP is setup as it is now to make it an attractive deal to people seeking an eBay alternative. This attraction is based on the belief that they will turn a profit because the SSP feature is only $9.95 a month as opposed to the eBay listing and store fees. Any online seller can be easily fooled by what appears to be a low cost alternative and that combined with the fudged numbers was all that Ray needed to succeed as a business. Quote:So, Truth, is it your belief that Ray is part of a syndicatequote] That is why and what SSP is all about. The cash cow is SmartSell Pro and it always will be for WP. Quote:That at no time did Ray really have any intention of creating any kind of "eBay alternative", but was simply using that as a pick-up line? Yes there was a time when he did want an eBay alternative but that goes back to WP1, it was never the intention of WP2. The smoke and mirrors show would lead you to believe that but in reality, SSP was the pickup line and it made an impression on the naive & impressionable alternative seeking sellers. Truth Edited to change a quote because I am C & P retarded |

Quote:"negative" people Quote:the menace that is TT The message Ray is sending by listing on eBay rather than on his own site is far more negative and damaging than anything that has ever been said or done on this thread but when WP2 goes up in flames the blame will be wrongly placed on TT just as it was wrongly placed on OTWA after Ray pulled the plug on WP1.
Amy as always you hit this one on the money. Here is a guy who from the beginning has demonized, and mocked Ebay. He has declared himself an alternative, a champion, a savior to the poor sellers that Ebay had done wrong. He kept his store open the entire time, and now he is stocking it. He owns WP and isn't even listing his own items on the site. He knows what we all know that the buyers are on Ebay. He needs a customer aquisition tool to drive business to his new website. Imagine showing up to work one day and finding out the owner was conducting all his business with a competitor but expected you to conduct your business as usual. How secure would you feel in that moment about your job? How secure do you feel about this venue that you have defiantly defended? |

Truth I've seen this unity banner on a website are you saying that WP or Ray is a part of this? When I clicked on that banner it took me to an auction site I forget what country it was based in or the name of the site. I would have to go back and try to find it to know for sure. I know it wasn't in the US as the currency there was not in US dollars.
Scoop, No I am not sayiny that Ray is a part of the unity thing at this time. Ray even at this point still makes alot more money then most of the sites that would be inclined to partake in the next big scam of the alternative sellers. In the coming months however Ray's cash cow will continue to diminish and with a golden opportunity, as this would be for Ray, for greedy auction site owners like this one is, I would bet that Ray will give in to his ego to fill his pockets onece more. Is there a site that is out of the US that is a part of this so called unity? There could be but I know of at least 1 site that took part in an early test of this and backed out as they saw it for what it is, a scam. That may be the site you are thinking of but it may not be. If it is the site you are thinking of, contact me as I would hate to affect the hard work of others who are only trying to survive online. Truth |

Truth
Truth so your saying Ray is not a part of it at this time but you feel that he will eventually partake in the scam. I'm going to have to go back and try to find this banner again. But from what I remember the banner said something like "There is no alternative to ebay". If I remember right when I went to the site it said something like "bringing the world together" I found it odd because what I expected to see from what I was reading was a site that was made up of a group of online alternatives but what I saw seemed to be just an auction site. I saw no signs of a group. I'm going to go back now and try to find it again. I will pm you the name once and if I can find it again. |

Yes Scoop but I also feel that the groundwork is being laid for this to occur. I said in another thread on TT for people to beware of this to come about sometime in September or early October. Ray has the time to join the ranks of this new scam and I do believe he will do it. It may not be the WP site that you see but rather another site. Truth |

Quote:WP2 was all about filling Ray's pocket's from the beginning and with the addition of the SmartSell Pro package Ray found a way to make renewable income month after month after month. So, Ray created WP and the Smart Sell program as a means to scam sellers with the eBay alternative pick-up line and get a steady monthly income. With all due respect, Truth, I don't see this as an Earth-shattering revelation. I pointed this out last August or September. I don't know what the Unity banner is about, nor do I care, except in how it affects WP and the still -drugged sellers there. Would you care to fill us in? |

Just for the record DB, you never started posting here until October so this would have been quite impossible for you to do. With that being said,... I never promised an 'earth-shattering revelation'. I did however promise I would be posting NEW information, which I in turn did. No it wasn't a new copy/paste from the WP boards, the latest ghost store accounting or any of the other sort of things many of you have been dwelling on for the past three months. I consider those things irrelevant now, as do several of us. It's beating a dead horse. You asked me a point blank question about the SmartSell Pro and if Ray was deliberately scamming people. I answered you point blank. There is no need to flame me over answering a question YOU asked just because you may not have liked what i said. You do not understand the "Unity" reference, nor do you want to because it doesn't pertain to the WP here and now. So be it. I will not waste my time or yours trying to explain why you SHOULD care. I will leave you to your own devices on that one, even though I told you about this a while back and you passed on learning then. We will just have to agree to disagree on our points of view at this point. You still feel the need to assume the role of martyr leading the clueless poppers out of Wagglepop. I on the other hand realize the remaining sellers are there by choice not thru ignorance as so many of us started out. They have chosen to stay. Nothing you say or do will change there minds. If Ray starts WP3 tomorrow, these same poppers will be there with bells on. It is quite similar to the situation that many of us have found ourselves in here lately. Some of us have moved on, started successful online businesses and gone on with our lives. Others have chosen to remain here and continue to fight a battle that in my opinion has long since ended. So essentially now there is nothing left to say. Truth |

I was referring to pointing this out on WP, although not exactly in those words. Of course, it was a deleted post and not available to paste here. And tell me why we SHOULD care about the "Unity" banner. Inquiring minds AND lurkers want to know. |
