Maybe we should send over the ATF and Janet Reno to take care of it.  :Smile

Should anyone bother to post the truth, that post would disappear into thin air like a fart in a hurricane and the poster would be segregated and punished. Cult leaders will say and do whatever it takes to maintain control of their followers -- lye, decieve, restrain, ANYTHING - nothing is above them.

Karen/Ray have learned quite a bit from eBay!  He/She certainly paid attention to eBay tactics.
Alskling , you sum it all up sooooooooo well.

Thanks, Anita.
Just one other thing: One would think that the deceptive manipulations of the traffic statistics would work against Karen and Ray. Why, with ALL THAT TRAFFIC, is there still no business? Right? Wrong.

First of all, this BS is the perfect way to keep Wagllers hanging on the line, thinking that TRAFFIC will someday translate into business -- the ol' "build it and they will come / Rome wasn't built in a day / Blessings come to those who wait" mantra that fits so well with cult philosophy. This keeps the current cult members pacified and Wagglin' at least, until eBay raises its fees again and WP gets fresh soldiers for the cause ready to be indoctrinated and transformed into money-making robots for Ray/Karen.

Second, remember Wagglers are brainwashed by the gospel. Because WP's "revolutionary" system is perfect, any lack of business a member might experience is necessarily the member's fault, due soley to the member's inability to effectively use it. Karen/Ray do nothing and therefore are responsible for nothing. All they do is take Waggler's money and stuff it in their pockets. Any member's lack of achievement and success is his/her problem. Wagglers simply attribute the ZEROS they see on their individual hit counts as failure to effectively apply the system. The incongruity between the supposed "high traffic numbers" and non-existing individual counts must be due to the "stars" outshining the rest of the group. Keep in mind, as part of the cult philosophy, the success of the movement as a whole relies on the collective efforts of its members, so those who appear to be falling behind will necessarily be the ones everybody blames should the movement faulter. This gives those "laggards" a special incentive to live up to the standards set by the leaders. It's a vicious cycle that becomes self-perpetuating. Ray/Karen win -- everybody else loses. And the longer they stick around, the more they lose -- it's that simple.

If business is not about making money, why not give everyone free listings, hmmm, Ray?

Amazingly well put and absolutely the core of much of the WP phenomenon.

The worst thing of all is that when WP eventually goes bust, or when Ray throws a hissy fit and pulls the plug again, many of the acolytes will give up and assume all off-eBay experiences are like WP. Many will go back to eBay and continue feeding the machine. Many will quit altogether.

Maybe it's true that the market is flooded with too many sellers and we need to lose some--but I'd like to think there's a better way to pare down the seller population than to obfuscate and destroy.

That's what I was thinking. I'd be upset if WP was scoring as high as eBay Express, but I hadn't sold anything.

Thank you! I can say the same of you, actually. You really get to the heart of the situation. You're able to put what a lot of us feel (and know) about WP into such precise terms.

I do believe that Lord Romeo has forbidden his cult members to type the name of any other e-commerce site within the forums.  They don't want to be vaporized by His Aspship for disobeying, now, do they!?    Smile

WP gained more listings, dropped 11 stores -- now at a 40+% ratio of sports cards, postcards, books, magazines and magazine/movie mag ads
