Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
OMG! The same ol' "rah, rah" 17th of the month before the bill collector cometh on the 20th. Just like clockwork. Promises, promises. Blah, blah, blah.
And, who the hell is Andrew Pattino? The only person I know stuck on the concept of "perceived value" is none other than his royal boinktardedness himself, RR. And, remember the grand KayRay speech about the car (Mercedes, I believe it was) with no wheels? And now we have the "million dollar gold-plated Ferrari" analogy. Hmmmm. Oh, and did anybody say RR restores classic cars -- the most recent being a Cougar he bought off of EBAY? And coincidentally, 20% of WP's listings are concentrated in one store that sells AUTO FLOOR MATS. Does anyone find it odd that the only item this seller has apparently sold among his 1900+ listings in 5+ months on WP is a flashlight? Who the hell are you kidding, Ray? Oh, yeah, the ignorant Poppers you keep sequestered in your censor-driven, sanitized, i-net compound. Quote:If we can get participation up to 5,000 Stores that open and stay open, and 1-2 million legitimate competitive listings ... we as a company can use that to take Wagglepop to the next level of competive marketing and support further growth. Really, Ray. How much do you think you can mix to get 5,000 store sellers to buy into your crap and "stay open"? According to my calculations, it will take over 30 years at the rate you're going, to get to that illusive "next level" (whatever that is). And that's with the rest of the e-commerce world stagnating, which it won't. You shouldn't have a hard time finding a few sellers who just couldn't stick it out for 3 decades waiting for the "next level" to blame for "lack of partipation" and the failure of WP to achieve its impossible goals. Quote:Too many sellers are simply unhappy at having the overall eBay dynamic change so drastically as these individual but collective changes have done, making participation difficult and for some impossible. They want their "old" eBay back . . . we think that Wagglepop represents exactly what the "old" eBay used to be . . . And I'd like 50-cent-a-gallon gas back, $5 haircuts back, my waistline back, and my '67 Mustang back. Should I wait another 30 years for that to happen, too? The bottom line is that WP, by its very concept, is, was, and always will be -- DOOMED! It is based on one paranoid, megalomaniac's vision of how e-commerce ought to be in a world that does not, and never will, exist -- EVER! Frankly, I don't even think Ray himself is stupid enough to believe in the BS he feeds to the faithful (otherwise he wouldn't be selling on eBay). He doesn't have to. All he has to do is keep enough blissfully ignorant sellers (that means acquiring enough to cover the monthly attrition rate) who buy into his "perceived value" to keep his hamster in feed and cover his eBay costs. Oh, and Andrew/AndRay, KayRay, or whoever the hell you are -- did anyone ever teach you the first cardinal rule of selling -- the one that even encyclopedia salespersons know? NEVER KNOCK THE COMPETITION! It only makes you look pathetic and desparate. Edit: Update on our friend PS: Her feedback shows she's sold 1 item for $1.89 on WP -- a "God's Inspiration" book -- in the past 30 days. One of the sellers doing "extraordinarily well", no doubt. WTG, PS! We're all so proud of you. |

"Casual on-line buyer": def. an individual who is cruising the web for no particular reason, shopping for nothing in particular, and happens to stumble upon Wagglepop by accident.
Edit: Quote:That's a small target market if you're shooting for 1-2 million listingsGive Ray a break. 1-2 million listings just might be attainable, depending on how many floor mats Overpriced Auto Floor Mat Guy has in inventory. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
Try searching Google for "Automotively Floored" and you will find nothing other than Wagglepop pages. Maybe it's a B&M business starting up... but then again, no business owner in his right mind would startup in eCommerce on a site so small, or be able to figure out the Inventory Direct. I remember when he first started listing, everyone was amazed that he figured out how to use the ID lister so effectively. He talked about just using the same template he had with "Turbo Lister" and changing a couple lines for each item. The "Turbo Lister" comment says to me that he should be found on eBay.... nope. This also means that if he figured it out in just a couple days, he must be Ray.
Automotively Floored is just Ray's little invention to make would-be sellers think a legitimate business is operating on Wagglepop. After all, if the first store has 18,000 listings, why shouldn't a newcomer think the site is a real business operation? A.F. is just Ray, ordering through another company at their retail to fill orders. Many sellers do it (some do quite well) and hell, I even have in the past whenever Amazon had a BIG sale. The first thing I bought on Wagglepop was a game, and the seller was in Canada and ordered it from a Chicago business for me. They even included their own website's flyer. Maybe... Just maybe, it isn't Ray, but it seems awfully fishy to me! How does he ever find the time to sell on eBay, restore cars, list 18,000 floor mats, manage an auction site, and write out the paychecks for his "staff?"
"Listen up Mother****er. Try that bulls*** here and I will hand you and your head in a basket"
- Ray Romeo's alter ego Andrew Pittino responding when I signed up a new account on Wagglepop to verify the non-existence of a way to opt out of his sharing my information with third parties. |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I don't know what the connection is with the Overpriced Auto Floor Mat Guy and Ray. Although they are located on separate coasts, the fact that Ray restores classic cars and OAFG is in the automotive business does seem a bit OVERLY coincidental, especially when the guy has over 19,000 listings on WP and has YET to show evidence of a sale of one solitary, single floor mat since he opened his store 6 months ago. Strangely, OAFG is located nearly next door to our dear friend PS, who is the head chearleader for WP. I suppose Ray could be running the "Floored" from New York through a "drop-shipper" who's in bed with PS in California. And although PS claims to not have "talked to" Ray, another of our dear friends, Mr. User, who pops in here every now and then to defend WP, Ray and PS (and rag on me), sounds very much like Ray and claims to know Miss PS, yet he refuses to divulge who he is or anything else about himself, what he sells, what his store name is or if he even sells on WP, or what his connection is with WP, Ray or PS, although PS came to OAFMG's defense when one of us questioned why he shows no sales.
It is strange that OAFMG doesn't have a "me" page, and says absolutely nothing about his business or himself and never pops up on the forums. One would think that a seller whose listings make up over 20% of the total on a particular "auction" site would take some interest in what's going on. The page counters on his listings show absolutely NO VIEWS other than my single view. Just like WP in general, OAFG's store makes absolutely no sense whatsoever other than to pump up the listing count on WP. He does absolutely no business there and appears nowhere other than WP. Edit: Coincidentally, PS also came to Ray's defense, when it was brought up that Ray doesn't sell on his own site. As I recall, she said something to the effect of "how do you know he doesn't sell on his own site?" |

Re: Wagglepop 2: Deja Vu as Auction Site That Left Sellers Stranded Reopens
I gotta give it up to you DB.
The same thoughts were running through my mind, but the only word I could think of to describe it was conspiracy and you know how they hate words that start with a "c". Conspiracy and fraud usually seem to go hand in hand. This is also my personal opinion and mine only. I am not making any accusations about anyone in particular.
